Chapter 4

Chapter 4 - Haku

It's been about a week since Naruto had been on his team and tomorrow he and the other chosen genins will be receiving their first missions.

"Duckbutt, Sakura, wanna have some ramen with me? You too Kakashi sensei" he invited. "As if I'd ever want to eat with you. Sakura said rolling her eyes.

'Well that's her response' he shrugged before turning to Sasuke and Kakashi. "Sure." they agreed causing Sakura to stare in shock. 

"I'm so going to get you back for the 10 bowels of ramen you ate and dug a hole in my wallet." Kakashi laughed manically causing Naruto to roll his eyes.

... 

In the end Sakura ended up tagging along so she could eat with her 'Sasuke-hun' . And oh boy was Naruto going to have fun breaking her out of that faze.

'Kakashi wasn't joking about digging a hole in my wallet, good thing I'm rich.' Naruto laughed to himself. 

"I have to go get ready for tomorrow." Naruto said getting up as he paid the bill. Kakashi and Sasuke nodded before standing as well. 

"Same here, I'm going home." was Sasuke's only response before heading in the general direction of his house, the Namikaze estate.

...

"Are all  the teams present?" asked the hokage as they stood in his office.

It was currently 12pm the following day and Naruto had swapped out for a clone so he could speak personally to the genins.

'Maybe I was too harsh when I said genin material, there is only 4 teams here.' he chuckled to himself.

"Well, it's good to see you, I trust in your teachers judgement in making you genins and I expect to see nothing less." While the genins responded the pinkette was staring at the Uchiha.

Naruto or rather the hokage threw a kunai aiming for Sakura's forehead which Kakashi deflected. 

"Lord hokage I'd appreciate it if you didn't kill my genins they barely scraped through." Kakashi said handing back the hokage's kunai.

"I can see that, if she's a fangirl I head special measures for her, she isn't one, is she?" he asked innocently.

"Yes, but I'll-" Kakashi was cut off by the hokage. 

"No need, I'll have it dealt with after the chunin exams in four months which all the genins WILL be attending, it is your jobs as their sensei's to have them ready. I'll be following the regiment that hiruzen had already set and it fairly easy." 

The genins looked scared for the torture to come. "I expect hard core but specialized training if you understand what I mean." he said looking at the senseis. They all nodded showing that they understood.

"Ok for missions I'll be giving you guys C ranks -" 

"C-ranks?!!! they graduated a week ago." yelled Iruka who had just entered, panicking which caused the hokage to glare. "I didn't realize you were the leader here." he said in a tone which Iruka didn't dear reply to. 

"Besides what's the point of giving them D-ranks? The D-ranks will be saved for the permanently stationed ninjas in the future to come, they'll need a way to earn extra cash."

Iruka nodded as he dropped the document which he had brought in on the kage's table before glancing back and leaving.

"As I was saying before, Team Asuma- Protect the Kizaame village in the land of water, you should only be expecting low ranked bandits. Team Kurenai- Catch Tora the Daimyo's cat. Team Guy- defend Shiriki temple in the land of water. Team Kakashi- escort the bridge builder Tazuna. This will be your first and only mission for two months as you'll be spending that time training."

"Team Asuma and Guy should leave together and everyone should pack for a week and a half, the missions should take no longer than that. Everyone but team Kakashi is dismissed."

A series of yes hokage rang out through the office before the other teams left leaving only team 7 in the room. 

"Anbu send in Tazuna." just as the hokage instructed Tazuna was brought in and didn't dare question as to why kids were protecting him.

He had heard how the hokage spoke to them from outside the office and could only imagine how he'd speak to him if he had complained.

"This is Tazuna, protect him till the bridge is done." they nodded before leaving the office with Tazuna hot on their tails. 

After everyone had left his office he had swapped back with a clone and was now heading to his estate to pack.
