Chapter 3

Chapter 3 - School

It's been a few months since Naruto became hokage and things were running smoothly, crime rates dropped by 98%, security had tightened and there was no one living on the streets. 

Naruto had made it an obligation to visit the orphanages as hokage every Sunday before council meeting and not only that but the children had absolutely adored him and had little kitsune mask of their own. It was adorable. 

 The villagers quickly warmed up to him and were filled with pride knowing that they had such an honorable and strong leader as their fifth hokage. 

Naruto felt accomplished but knew that he still had many more work to be done and adjustments to make before the village is perfect.

"Naruto, what do you think about entering the academy?" asked Jeriyah, Naruto had decided to leave a clone in the office and take a day off.

"The academy? You know I'm 16 not 13 right?" 

"And? Just use a henge. I think this will be a good opportunity to make some friends. Just think about it." Jeriyah said before disappearing.

"School, huh?" he said aloud getting up.

 'Its certainly an interesting idea.' he thought as he made his way to his favourite ramen shop.

As Naruto made his way to the ramen shop he took notice of the people around him as well as there behavior.

"Watch where you're going." yelled the boy that almost bumped into him. "That's a lot of talk for a shrimp don't ya think?" Naruto asked uncaring before walking away.

The boy stood in shock.

"You need to apologize, you bumped into an Uchiha, the most elite family in the hidden leaf." the boy yelled after realizing Naruto wasn't going to apologize. 

Naruto paused and stared before responding.

"For such an elite family they didn't seem to have a problem being wiped out by a 13 year old." Naruto said before continuing to walk away. 

"You-you."

Naruto didn't hear the rest of what he had to say as he walked out of hearing range. 'I also need to do something about Itachi.' he thought.

'hmmm, if I was to attend school what would I do? I need a plan....Oh I know, I'll leave a transporting clone in the office while I go to the academy and when I graduate, yeah that's  the plan.'

...

They following day Naruto made his way to the academy wearing his favourite orange jumpsuit he wore as a child. The jumpsuit reminded him of Kurama, his favourite kitsune.

He had already memorized the building and made his way into the class room and stood next to the brunette.

"Class, today we have a new student, Naruto Uzumaki, can you introduce yourself?" asked Iruka, he was a scar faced man that had lost his parents in the kyubii's attack on the village.

"Sure, my name is Naruto Uzumaki, I have a girlfriend named Haku, although I'm not sure where she is right now and I like ramen, please take care of me." he introduced. 

The whispers began.

"Why did he transfer so late."

"He's kinda cute."

"But he has a girlfriend."

"She isn't here and he doesn't know where she is."

"He still isn't better than my Sasuke-kun."

"Quiet!" yelled Iruka silencing everyone. "Naruto take a seat next to Hinata, Hinata raise your hand."

Naruto took a seat next to the girl identified as Hinata before turning to her. "You have beautiful eyes." he whispered. Hinata squealed before fainting on Naruto. 

He chuckled before turning his attention to teacher who began speaking.

"Okay, as you guys know today is the genin exam and after the exam you'll be placed on teams of 3. The first exam will be-" 

Naruto drowned out Iruka's voice and stared at the sleeping beauty laying on him.'Damn I think I just found my second wife.' he smirked.

While Naruto was taking the exam he had swapped out with a clone so now he was in the office talking to the jonins. 

"I expect you to accept those that are worthy of becoming jonins, those that have exceptional potential, nothing less.Understood." 

"Nothing less than jonin?" asked a confused jonin.

"Yes, when we recruit ninja it is in hopes that they will become excellent shinobis. Anyone can become a genin, including a civilian, so we recruit these academy students in hopes they will one day become a jonin, not so they can become a genin. Do you understand now?"

They looked at him in awe before responding with a "Yes, Sir." 

...

Naruto had switched back with the clone in the school and was currently waiting on their jonin sensei. As hokage he gave the jonins freedom to choose who they wanted on his team.

Although he had a tickling feeling Kakashi would be their jonin sensei for the sole fact that his father was Kakashi's sensei.

It was currently 10 am they had been waiting for 30 minutes and their jonin sensei had yet to arrive.

 'It's definitely Kakashi Hatake, he notorious for being late. I'll make sure to speak to him about this.' Naruto thought, he knew the reason he was late but that was nothing other than an excuse.

As if sensing that someone was talking about him, he sneezed as he walked through the door. 

"Hello my little genins meet me on the roof." he smiled or so Naruto assumed before body flickering to the roof.

Naruto took the stairs walking ahead Sasuke and Sakura and they arrived within 3 minutes.
