Chapter 12

Chapter 12 - So it begins

Months flew by quickly between missions, training as well as just plainly spending time together. During their time spent together Naruto got blackmail material on Sasuke.

"I'm so hyped, we'll definitely become chunins." said Naruto excitedly, even the ever so grumpy Sasuke seemed to be in a good mood. "Hn, you definitely don't need the sharingan to know such obvious results." said Sasuke confidently. 

The three genins made their way up the stairs where they bumped into two guards. "Um, excuse me, you're blocking the way." said Naruto trying to get around them. "But that's not the way to the exam room." said Kotetsu points the room beside them while giving the genins a weird look.

"We never said we were going there, we're going to the bathroom and I need Sasuke and Sakura to hold my hand while I go." Naruto replied smartly. This cause both Sasuke and Sakura to simultaneously hit Naruto in the back of the head. 

"The paper said the exam is being held in room 32, each floor had 10 rooms and we're only on the second floor, that sad excuse of a genjutsu won't work on me." said Sasuke raising an eyebrow as if to ask if they really thought he was that stupid. 

The guards said nothing and allowed the genins to pass before any of the foreigners could notice what was happening.

"He didn't have to be so mean about it."  said Izumo with tears going down his face. "It's ok, I thought your genjutsu was great." comforted Kotetsu.

The team continued making their way upstairs where they bumped into team 10. Lee immediately approached Sakura "My lovely Sakura blossom, how lovely it is to see a beauty like you again, I wish I could see you everyday, but if I did, I would certainly go blind from your beauty." romanced Lee. Sakura couldn't help but blush at the compliments given. 

"Keep your eyes off my teammate." grumbled Sasuke not pleased with Lee approaching Sakura. "Ouuuu, are you jealous, Sasuke-kun?" teased Naruto causing a slight blush on Sasuke face along with a punch from an embarrassed Sakura. "Oo-h shut up." she blushed as both teams made their way to the correct exam room.

Upon entering they were hit with waves of killing intent which caused Sakura and Sasuke to pause, Naruto on the other and just walked in as if nothing happened, offended a hidden rain genin threw a kunai at Naruto which he just moved his head to the side to dodge, giving a mocking smile to the genin. 

"Come on guys, I see Shikamaru and the others, don't let these idiots scare you." said Naruto angering anyone who wasn't already angry. 

"Naruto, you are asking for death making a bold statement like that." said Ino slightly concerned, before going to arguing Sakura over the topic of who Sasuke loves more.

"I'll be fine, these idiots couldn't even so much as touch me." boasted Naruto pissing even more people off if possible. 

"You shouldn't speak so loudly. You'll get into trouble." said a silver haired male. "If I was avoiding trouble I wouldn't have made that statement, and I thought people with glasses were smart." he responded shaking his head disapprovingly.

Kabuto, the silver haired male was offended but opted against saying anything in response. "I have powercards here, just give me a name and I'll give you some information about them." he offered to the others. 

Instantly the konaha genins gave him a look which made him nervous. Shikamaru was the first one to speak using Sasuke as a dummy. "Sasuke Uchiha." Shikamaru said giving Kabuto a name. Kabuto shuffled his cards before drawing one. "Sasuke Uchiha brother of Itachi-." Naruto cut Kabuto off much to his annoyance. 

"How do you know this Kabuto-san? Only selected people know this information. I'll definitely have to report this to the hokage." said Naruto mockingly.  

Kabuto then suddenly made a move to leave but a man in a Kitsune mask stopped him by grabbing onto his shoulders, "We need to talk."
