Never been the Girlfriend

"Why isn't he texting me? It's been 48 hours already. Ganun na ba katindi ang tampo niya?" I asked myself.

I can't let go of my cellphone... There's still hopes inside me that he'll text me back. That he wanted to reconcile with me... In order to save our relationship.

Please, Morgan. Magreply ka naman.

"What are your plans today?"

"Nothing's new..." I answered Aurelya in a bored tone. "Magmukmok ng kwarto."

I missed him.

And God... It's killing me!

"Gucci, may bad news talaga ako, eh, kaya napatawag ako." Humimlay ang boses niya.

Umayos ako ng upo. "What is it?"

"Huminga ka muna ng malalim."

"Ano nga 'yon, El?" Baka mawalan pa ako ng interes kapag hindi pa niya sinabi.

"Huminga ka nga muna ng malalim."

Huminga ako nang malalim. Sinadya kong lakasan para marinig niya.

"Ano na 'yon?"

"Diba break na kayo ni Morg-"

"Huh? Anong break? Hindi kami nagbrebreak." I corrected him. Ang alam lang ni Aurelya ay  nag-aaway lang kami ni Morgan pero hindi talaga kami nagbre-break.

"Pinagkalat niya kasi sa'min na break na kayo."

"Huh? Anong sinasabi mo?"

"Morgan is a famous individual.

Why does it always feels like I am never been the girlfriend?

What am I really?

Do I deserve this? That I'm questioning myself and my worth? Gosh... Yes, I do bad things but it's not terrible that this karma felt like a cursed.

"No, don't!" My friend wanted to stop me.

But I didn't listen to her.

I immediately drove my car at Morgan's place. The door is locked and I don't have the duplicate key anymore, I gave it back to him the day that we argued.

He took my joke seriously last time... Damn him. He should know better that, that was only a joke. Because he knows damn much that I love him. Hindi ako nagsasabi ng mga words na pagsisisihan ko.

"Where is he?!" I shouted as a looked at my phone.

Parang mababasag na ang cellphone ko sa sobrang pagtipa ko pero wala parin akong natatanggap na response.

"Why not puntahan mo ang condo ni Nadia?"

Kumunot ang noo ko. "Ano naman ang kinalaman ni Nadia sa relasyon namin?"

"Gut feeling, Gucci. I knew from the that there's literally something going on between them."

"No, there is not." Parang maiiyak na ako pero kaya ko namang pigilan.

"Gucci..." She cupped my face.

I took a deep breath.

I don't know what to do anymore but to follow her advice. We both drove at Nadia's place.

When we arrived at the place, I felt my heart shattering into a million of pieces already... I saw that Morgan's car is in the front of Nadia's condo. Is it enough already? No, it is not.

I started knocking at the door.

Both Morgan and Nadia walked out of the door. Morgan's eyes widened, and it looks like he couldn't believe it that I caught him. But Nadia, she glared at me as if she was making it clear that I was the loser. I couldn't control my emotions. Out of sheer anger, I quickly grabbed Nadia by the hair.
