Unwelcome to the Real World

"In our 20s, we should be having fun!" My bestfriend encouraged me.

"Not with my parents. You're lucky that your parents are letting you to have fun after graduating." Because me? Responsibilities are already lined up.

And because, everyone believed that I'm that daughter who is a useless and a brat, they don't trust me with our company and with my life! Dapat parating may guide.

"C'mon, Gucci, don't stress life." Aureliya requested.

"I don't," I sipped a drink. "But everytime I'll have fun, I feel useless. Parang walang nangyayari sa buhay ko."

Mahina ang pagkakasabi ko. I think she didn't heard what I just said. We are all brats here, and I know that she won't understand me.

"Where is your sister going?"

Ate Ana is in a military uniform.

"Her? She's signing up for a military training."

Napaayos ako ng upo.

"Pwede ang babae doon?" I'm surprised. I mean, pwede naman talaga... But I don't think girls can handle the training.

Then those memories of her flashes my mind.

Gia. Damn her. She's the most stupid girl that I had met in my entire life. So stupid for always trying to be the hero. Fuck her.

"Are you crying?"

I smiled. "Nope. Something just got stuck up my eyes." I said.

Inayos ko na ang mascara ko.

"Can we go shopping?" I asked, diverting the topic.

We started shopping around in the morning until evening. I didn't notice the time. Ine-enjoy ko talaga ang sarili ko sa pagsho-shopping.

Nang makauwi ako, napakunot kaagad ako ng noo nang makita na may nakaparadang military vehicle sa harapan ng mansion. Omg, could it be him?!

"Baby Gucci!" Si tito General ko!

"Tito!" I hugged General Soldevilla, my uncle when I saw him on the table, eating dinner with my parents.

"Gucci, join us." Si Kuya Eiross.

My tito is here that's why I didn't refuse Kuya's request. I sat beside my tito.

"Okay, back to the topic. What's the last line you had said?" My dad asked Tito.

"Someone should be in line, we need representative in our family to join the military." Kwento ni tito.

"Eiross will be a good one." Mom is pertaining to my older brother.

Alam kong hindi interesado si Kuya Eiross sa mga ganiyan.

Even though I'm not interested in the topic, tiniis ko, hanggang sa matapos akong kumain.

"Goodnight, mom and Dad. At tito." Tumayo ako.

Kiniss ko si tito at nagbabye. Wala namang pake ang parents ko kasi hindi nila ako ini-include sa topic kaya hinayaan na nila akong umalis. My opinions won't even matter to them.

Tinatamad din naman ako sa pinag-uusapan nila. Seriously? Hindi ba pwedeng make up naman ang pag-uusapan? Somehow like mag-eestablish ako ng sarili kong makeup company? Fine, no one even cares!
