Chapter 2: Mission

Lucy walked home, by herself, to think about what happened. She quickly took a shower, but not even the warm water could cheer her up. She remembered all the good times with Natsu, like when she pulled Happy between them to prevent them from kissing. Or, when he hugged her when she was crying.

"Natsu... Please come back." she cried. Suddenly, she felt her key pouch glow. She opened it and saw a key she's never seen before. It was a golden key, and it had flames on the handle.

"Wha..." She grew speechless. She shrugged it off. Lucy walked out of her home and left towards to guild to say what happened.

She opened the guild doors and walked straight to the Master's room.

"Master..." Lucy whimpered, her eyes going watery.

"What happened, Lucy? Something is troubling you." Master asked with worry.

"I'm so sorry Master, Natsu died. He sacrificed himself so I could live. It should have been me. You can kick me out of the guild, if you'd like." Lucy explained. She felt a warm presence beside her, like Natsu was still there. She felt the Master take her hand, she looked up, and saw the Master with a look of sadness.

"No one deserves to die, child. Natsu did what he could for you, even if he died. I won't kick you out of the guild, since you are like a child to me." The Matser flashed a sincere smile to Lucy.

"Arigato, Master." Lucy replied. Lucy walked out of the room, with the Master right beside her.

"Listen up you brats!" Master yelled. "Today, we have lost one of our beloved guild members. He gave us the spark to our guild. His name is Natsu Dragneel. May we win every battle for him, and we will remember him forever in our hearts."

A few people were crying, and it was mostly Happy, Lucy, Erza, Gray, Lisanna, and Wendy.

"So... Team Natsu is dissolved?" Lucy asked quietly.

Erza shook her head. "No, we are still together, and we will continue to call this team Team Natsu for him."

Gray nodded. Lucy walked to the request board, and saw a job paying 10,000 jewels. She showed it to Mira.

"I'm going solo." Lucy said emotionless. Mira nodded.

Lucy left for her home, and took a quiet bath. She put on her pajamas and went to sleep on her bed. She felt warmness beside her, like Natsu was there right next to her.

Lucy was with Natsu.

"Natsu?" She gasped.

"Lucy," he said with a smile on his face. She ran to him and hugged him.

"Natsu, don't ever leave me again! I love you, too!" Lucy yelled in his arms.

Natsu tightly hugged back.
"I will always be with you."

Suddenly, Lucy's world went black and she found herself on her soft, pink bed.

"It was all a dream..." Lucy cried. She got up from her salmon bed, and changed. She grabbed her job request and left towards the train to go on her job.

As soon as the train started moving, she felt weird vibes coming from her keys.

"Huh, I remember when Natsu would get sick..." Lucy's voice faded. She felt the train come to a stop.
