Chapter 10: Odds are against her

After the train ride stopped, Natsu immediately got revived.

"I am alive again!" Natsu shouted.

"Shhhh! Natsu! Be quiet!" Lucy whispered.

After they got off, Lucy and Natsu went to speak with the client.

ĸnocĸ ĸnocĸ! The door opened and it showed a middle aged man with gray hair.

"Come in, please do," the man said. Lucy walked in, and Natsu went back to the spirit world. "I have this cursed object and only a Mage can touch it without getting cursed."

"Okay, I'll try to get the curse off," Lucy said.

Lucy went into a room and read books on how to take curses off.

"Open! Gate of the Flames! Natsu!" Lucy yelled.

"I'm all fired up! What do you need me to do, Lucy?" Natsu asked.

"I need you to help me figure out how to take the curse off," Lucy replied.

"Mmmm... that's really boring, Lucy," Natsu complained.

"Just do it!"

When Natsu was about to start reading out of a book, some mages came in the room.

"Oh, so you guys are trying to get the death curse off? Ha! It can't come off and I am the one that put it on!" The Orange hair Mage said. "I am the elite of the Saturn guild, I've heard that, you, Lucy Heartfilia, have arrested some of our guild members. I'm gonna have to get revenge, ya know?"

Natsu jumped in front of Lucy, "HARM ONE HAIR ON HER HEAD AND I WILL TURN YOU INTO DUST!"

"Natsu! Calm down! We're gonna have to fight him carefully, he is the one that put the curse on this object, after all," Lucy shushed. "Satan Soul!"

Lucy's body began to glow, but then it stopped and Lucy was left with her regular clothes.

"Wha-" Lucy was cut off as she was kicked in the stomach by the orange haired mage. She coughed up blood.

"I didn't properly introduce myself, did I? The name's James, James Sitiri. My power is to dispel all forms of magic," James stated. "And I shall be the one to kill you, Lucy Heartfilia." He smirked.

Natsu snapped. "FIRE DRAGON'S IRON FIST!" He ran to punch the guy, but the flames were put out.

"Do you not pay attention to what I say, fly?" James questioned.

Natsu smirked, "I guess I'll just have to improvise," he ran and then punched James in the stomach and then put his fist on fire, burning him.

"You JERK! Do you know what happens when you do that?" James asked. "Constellation formation! Stars come in order and defeat all that comes in my way!"

Streaks of light hit Natsu. When the smoke cleared, Natsu was gone. He had gone back to the Celestial Spirit world.

He deflected them easily.

"What blocks out constellations? Something that is really bright in the sky... the sun!" Lucy yelled.
"Okay... Time to practice my new magic! The Sun: Double Magic! Shine bright in front of me!"

James screamed loud and he passed out.

The Ruby glowed and the curse came off. Lucy turned James into the council, and she gave the Ruby back to the client.

"Thank you, Fairy Tail Mage," the man bowed, "I knew I could count on you!"

"Bye! Thank you for everything!" Lucy yelled as she got on the train back to Magnolia.
