Chapter 14: The Cave

Natsu, Happy, and Lucy got off the train.

"Lucy? How much longer till the cave?" Happy asked

"We barely walked a mile!" Lucy replied.

"I'm tired," Happy said, and with that, his wings disappeared and he fell into Lucy's arms.

"Baka neko," Lucy whispered.

"Lucy," Natsu said. Lucy turned her head to look. "Please be careful in there, only Happy can help you. Please protect him and yourself,"

"Thanks for caring. Don't worry, I'll take good care of Happy," Lucy said. She felt the ground drop and sharp pain. She had stepped in a hole.

"AHHHHHH!" She screamed. Tears were forming in her eyes. "I-It hurts!" She started crying.

"Lucy! Are you ok?!" Natsu asked. She shook her head. "I think your ankle's broken. Let me do this," he carefully nudged her foot, and a hiss escaped her mouth.

"Ow, ow, ow!" Tears flew out of her eyes non-stop. She started bawling. Happy's ears perked up from Lucy's arms. He woke up and saw her crying.

"Rushi! Are you ok?" He turned to Natsu, "What happened?"

Natsu looked at her worriedly and replied, "She broke her ankle,"

"W-Wait! I t-think I c-can heal i-it," Lucy sobbed. She put her hands out to her food, and blue light glowed softly from her palms. She could feel the pain slowly drift away. A look of relaxation crossed her face.

"I can't walk on it yet, but if doesn't hurt anymore," Lucy said.

"I'll carry you, Lucy!" Happy volunteered.

"Thanks, Happy," A smile formed on her lips.

"It's getting dark out, maybe we should rest, I'll go get firewood," Natsu yelled as he ran. He came back minutes later with firewood. He put it on the ground and lit it on fire. He sat down on the soft meadow grass. Lucy was already asleep. She had ragged breathing, and her eyebrows were furrowed.

He got up, and laid down next to her. He hugged her hips, and fell asleep next to her. Happy woke up and saw them, and put a blanket over them. He laid down in front of Lucy and they all fell asleep.

The next morning, Lucy woke up surrounded by a fire mage and a blue cat.

"What the-?" She asked herself.

She got up, and then heard stirring in the bed. Natsu and Happy woke up.

"Come on, let's go," Lucy motioned her hand for them to come.

"Ok," Natsu and Happy replied in unison. "Lucy, I thought you couldn't walk,"

"I'm fine now," Lucy said.

They walked for miles and miles until it was noon, and they saw a giant cave. It had beautiful crystals inside it.

"Woah," Lucy gasped.

"It's the Celestial Spirit Cave,"
