"Babeh come quick" Alex shouted from the living room
"What is it I'm coming" I shouted worryingly running into the living room
"She's about to walk look" he said as I rushed over to them
Our daughter jade was ready to walk at any moment she was a determined baby and stubborn like her father
She was holding onto the coffee table standing up trying to gain balance me and Alex was only at the wall which was around 5 steps from where jade was
"Come on princess come teh mummeh and daddeh" Alex said to her his arms wide open for her to attempt to walk to us
"You can do it baby show mummy and daddy you walking" I cooed to her
"Is this what Jamie did with their kid" I turned asking Alex
"I dunno luv but shehs determined teh do it" he smiled
Me and Alex got distracted by talking we didn't notice jade Letting go of the table and taking a step towards us
"Alex she's doing it" I said a bit too loud I felt so proud
"Come on sweetheart come teh us" Alex said with the biggest smile on his face
"Dada dada" was all jade kept saying since that was the only word she could say taking more steps to us
She finally made it to Alex's arms he hugged her
"Well done princess yeh did it yeh walked" Alex said he was so proud of our baby girl
"Well done baby I'm so proud of you" I said
"Mmmummm" she make those cute baby noises
"I fink sheh want teh say mummeh" Alex said raising his eyebrow with a smirk
"Go on babeh say mama" Alex said to jade
He kept encouraging her to say mama
"I think she's not ready yet al" I giggled
"Yeh never know" he said
After Alex tried to get jade to say mama after about half an hour I had to feed her after she was fed we bathed her we took her to mine and Alex bedroom to watch a movie that became our routine
Once the movie was on none of us payed attention me and Alex only played with jade
"Mummm mummm"jade said
Alex looked at me with wide eyes "sheh said mum" he said
"Al she's just mumbling baby noises" I said
"No sheh said mum" Alex protested
I finally agreed with him
After about 20 minutes jade finally got to sleep i putted her in her cot
"I'm so proud of her luv" he said hugging me from behind as we admired our baby sleeping
"Me to baby" I said kissing his cheek then yawning
"Tried bubs" Alex asked kissing my cheeks guiding me to our room
"Yeah busy day tomorrow" I said getting into bed cuddling into Alex
"House full of kids" he joked
"Only Jamie and matts kids coming for a play date al" I laughed
"Yeah good thing there close in age though"
"It is" I replied then I drifted off to sleep as Alex was talking to me
