AN: Here's a little something for you while I work on the next three chapters!
It's been a while so here's a quick summary:
Lance has been in the hands of the Galra. She has been seen the most by Zhamoht (Keith under the control of Haggar), and Haggar. The previous chapter ended with Lance and Zhamoht being loaded onto a pod to be transported to another battle cruiser.

Something changed in his eyes. They faded from the sharp glow to a dull faded yellow. Zhamoht's brows furrowed as he looked towards her.
"What?" she snapped. Her fists tightened in her lap while her jaw clenched to keep her from saying more than she should.
"Lance, it's me."
"Oh, not this again!" Lance groaned. She's surprised that Zhamoht's even a general with how often he's used the same tactic. She can see straight through this one, Keith is not here and this general pretending that he is someone dear to her makes her madder than anything else.
"Please, just listen to me!" Zhamoht's eyes glanced nervously up at the guards standing on either side of her.
"Fine," Lance said. She didn't have a choice. There was nowhere else for her to go. "If you are Keith, prove it to me." She smirked knowing there was no way he could tell her something only Keith would know.
"The morning after I followed you to the base you lured me into a closet." Zhamoht started. He looked directly into her eyes never wavering for a second. "You told me to never follow you. That I wouldn't appreciate what would happen if I did."
Her handcuffs suddenly felt heavy as the realization of who she was sitting in front of became clear. No one else could have known that. It was Keith.
Blasts knocked Lance from her seat just as the thought solidified. She landed on the floor both her breath and voice escaping her. The pod shuddered beneath Lance as it took blast after blast. Her eyes clenched shut when Zhamoht-no-Keith started yelling at the sentries to do something. As far as they knew he was still Zhamoht, a former paladin under Haggar's control. After a moment, hands gripped her forearms pulling her up and pushing her back into her seat, restraints were tightened across her body, and by the time she got her hair pushed out of her face, Keith was settling back into his seat.
"Are we clear yet?" Keith growled towards the cockpit.
"Ye-" The sentry was cut off as the pod was hit with another blast. The pod shuddered then tilted forward as it went into a nosedive. Lance's cuffed hands gripped the straps across her chest. A jolt pulsed through the pod as the engine quit. Head spinning from the constant jerking Lance could do nothing except sit her hands tightly gripping restraints and head tipped down, touching her chest.
The impact was anything but soft. Metal on metal sparks went flying in every direction. Now on its side, the pod skidded to a stop. Lance gasped, her restraints were holding her to the side where she now hovered above Keith. He was out cold. Blood covered his temple and covered the corner of his lips.
Her body was on the verge of giving out, dropping her into a coma. When blood began running down her face, and when it trickled past her eyes she finally allowed the adrenaline to die and her eyes to close.

The whoosh of the healing pod's door sliding past was the only warning she got before she stumbled forward. Hands caught her, helping to steady herself.
"Where is he?" Lance asked Hunk. Keith was alive, that much she knew.
Shiro and Pidge appeared next to them a grim look on their faces. Shiro reached for her, but the look on his face caused her to step back.
"Where's Keith?" Lance asked again.
"Lance, you've been through a lot. Keith isn't here. We only have Zhamoht held captive. Keith was killed by Haggar months ago." Pidge said. Her voice was less than comforting, it felt like nails digging into her skin only to be ripped out moments later.
"No, you don't understand!" Lance felt tears building in her eyes. Keith was alive, the others need to believe that. "He's alive! He told me himself." She collapsed in desperation. Kneeling before the others she continued to plead. "Ask him yourself!"
"Lance, you've been through a lot. You're trying to make something true that isn't. Keith is dead. Nothing is going to change that."
