They eventually had dinner and fell asleep in separate cars. Thomas had trouble sleeping. He kept thinking about Jackal, the plant, and the train wreck. He wondered about whether it was bad luck or just coincidence. Or if there was something else. His eyelids felt heavy and eventually fell asleep. He had a dream of an entity that had a spherical body with green moving fractals, a yellow feathered tail with tips that turned blue, red, then green, and three short pyramidal spikes at its side. It had two long semi narrow capsules from its back carrying three more that pointed down which acted as wings. It also had a four sided pyramid with one glowing eye as a head.
Just as it was about to interact with him he saw demon attack the entity. He then woke up.
He looked around and saw it was bright out. He got up and started packing and tidying up everything. Once he was done he looked out side and saw that the train was still moving. He checked his watch. 8:48. The train was going to arrive soon. In the mean time he decided to explore the train. He went back to the car he entered from and saw Nelle reading. Nelle noticed him.
"Hey Thomas, the inside of the train looks nicer than the outside, I thought it would look like a small cabin."
"I'm guessing they made it look like it wasn't that important, or like any other train in order to reduce the change of people attacking us."
A speaker buzzed and then started talking. "We will be arriving to the Genevan Western Airport in order to arrive in the United Kingdom." The speaker buzzed again and shut off.
Thomas looked panicked, "Oh no."
"What's wrong?"
"Hold on." Thomas went to speak to the conductor. He eventually returned with a nervous smile.
"Are you ok?"
"I'm going home."
"What? What about me?"
"They said that you're allowed to come if you want."
"So we're going to met your parents?"
Thomas sat in front of her. "They, umm despise magic, well my mother anyway. My dad dislikes it for a separate reason."
"Why?"
"Well my dad says it makes you weak and my mom just agrees with him. Whenever I ask her about it she just dodges the question."
"Weird."
"They also have some traditional beliefs but can be progressive at times."
"What would they think of me?"
"You're a One right?"
"So NOW you believe me?"
"No, it's just, never mind. Anyway they might get angry at you using magic, or at us trying to get the eyes."
"Did you leave on bad terms?"
"Not really."
"So why are you nervous?"
"I'm not sure."
The train stopped and they got off the station. They got in a car and drove to the airport.
