Valeria then proceeded to eat her meal. Mostly in silent with the occasional comment.
"I'm guessing that you likely have rooms to spare?" she asked before grabbing a small slice of her roasted goose with her fork.
"Yes, we do," Thomas responded as he put some cranberry sauce over his roasted turkey.
"How are they arranged?" she asked with her hand over her mouth.
"They are hallways with doors and those lead to the bedrooms. You can stay in the same hall me and Nelle are in," he said as he cut into some slices. Nelle almost choked on her meal.
"Like the one we fought in?"
"Yes."
"Sorry for that. Almost making you kill yourself, that is."
"It's fine."
"You are taking this pretty well, are you sure you're ok?"
"Yeah, I'm fine."
They continued to eat. Eventually finishing and going off into their chosen rooms.
They all completed their nightly routines before entering the bedrooms. Valeria stopped before entering hers. She walked past Thomas' room and knocked on Nelle's door.
"Hey, I wanted to apologize for earlier," she said once Nelle opened the door.
"Yeah," Nelle said with a weak smile. "You almost made him kill himself," she said with a more disappointed expression.
Valeria sighed, "I know what you think of me."
Nelle looked somewhat disappointed in herself, seemingly conflicted in what to believe.
She slowly closed the door and Valeria went back to her room. She locked it, not knowing if it could get in. She stared at the window, refusing to look in the garden and got in her bed, hoping everything would be alright by morning.
-Outside-
"So, this is the place," an angel said to her self. Her wavy light blue hair glistened in the starlight. It reached up to her shoulders. She gripped her sword tightly as if she was somehow nervous.
She took a deep breath, she'd done this hundreds, possibly thousands of times before. Yet, this felt different.
A shadow moved behind her, seemingly without notice. It began to form the shape of a man. Its hand reached for her shoulder as it smiled. It's smile and eyes were white, it almost made contact.
She stabbed him in the stomach.
"Agh, what was that for?" He said taking in a more physical and human form.
"Oh, hey Lucy," she responded, not taking her eyes off the manor. She was levitating a few inches of the ground and was about the same measurement shorter than the man who decided to wear a black and red suit.
"Stop calling me that," he responded in annoyance, yet he remained calm.
"No."
The man pulled the sword out of his stomach causing his hand to endure a slight burn. He threw the sword back at her and she caught it placing it in a convenient spot in mid-air.
"What are you doing here?" she asked finally turning around revealing light blue eyes that glimmered.
"I could ask the same thing." He responded. His irises were pitch black and his hair was sleeked to his side. His face was long and somewhat bony faintly revealing bone structures.
"I recommend changing your look if you're gonna have a child that dies by a kid in the future," she said with her arms crossed.
"Also if you must know, I'm planning something. You?"
"Felt the auras of two deities, and you're here so it must be important," he said as he put his hand over his injury, healing it shortly.
"Anyways, what about your 'friend,' you know, the one you always leave behind, the one who always picks up behind you."
"What are you trying to say?" she responded.
"Nothing, just curious," he said as he looked over his shoulder.
She looked too not being able to see anything.
"Thought he would be here too."
"Why, so he could join you?"
"Well, he could be useful. Y'know, both light and dark abilities. Just like you."
"Indeed," said a soft, somewhat hollow, and slight robotic voice.
They both froze, turning towards the origin of the voice.
