They rode to a police station in which they were confirmed to be alive and well. They both then arrived at a train station to Switzerland and waited for the private train.
"What now?" Thomas asked Nelle.
"The cryptid's eyes?"
"Oh! I forgot."
"You should probably go home, there could be some political instability with you missing for about a day.
"Maybe."
"This could also be an opportunity to learn fire magic from one of the libraries in Switzerland."
"But if any other guards or officials see, then it would be reported to my parents."
"So?"
"What do you mean so?!"
"Can't you make an excuse or lie about it being requested?"
"I don't think they would like that."
"Fair enough."
The train soon arrived. The cars had round edges at the top and was made of a black dull metal. They entered the train and it had a wooden interior. The seats looked like small couches. Nell sat in a window seat and Thomas sat next to her, both sharing a round table.
"Are we going to be able to get at least one of the cryptid's eyes?"
"I'm not sure."
Thomas had two choices, he could search for the cryptid's eyes or continue to guard the gear in Switzerland. He decided to take the former. The train started to run. They would arrive in about 14 hours.
"Hey Thomas, I have a question."
"What is it?"
"How come you don't have a pistol or something?"
"Unlike the UFNA the UK has stricter gun laws and I'm also not allowed to have one even if I wanted one."
"Why don't you want one?"
"I'm not sure."
Thomas was curious about the name Nelle despised but didn't want to upset her. He instead decided to ask about the Alps.
"Are there any cryptids in the Alpine mountain range that could help us?"
"I'm not sure"
Nelle decided to look around the train and left to go to the next car leaving Thomas by himself. He looked out the window and saw landscapes and man-made structures pass. He thought about what he would face next.
He heard a door open and looked up. Nelle entered.
"How was it?"
"Mostly the same," she said as she sat down next to him again. "Did you practice?"
"No, I didn't want to set the train on fire or risk being seen," he then realized something.
"Hey, how did you know I had fire magic?"
"Oh, I saw you use it to make a fire."
"That was you?"
"What do you mean?"
"I heard a stick break in the forest."
"Oh yeah I remember stepping on one."
"Why didn't you show yourself?"
"I thought you had everything figured out."
"Did you not hear me scream?"
"Let's just focus on what we have to do next, ok?"
"Fine."
