She managed to reach the top of the stairs and saw the light dimmed itself and was hiding in between two of the stairs' steps. When Nelle approached it, it brightened itself and flew to the bottom of the stairs. Nelle walked downstairs cautiously and saw the entire manor covered in darkness and shadows that looked far different that what made them. There was an eerie silence that, when combined with the dark, made Nelle uncomfortable. She walked through the manor following the light that had slowed down and dimmed itself as well. She finally reached a large double door. The doors were slightly smaller than those at the front of the manor. It had a stone-like look and a metal handle. The metal handle was a horizontal metal bar that had small red gems at the end of the handles. The light hovered around the handle and then went into the lock.

Nelle pushed the handle as soon as the light came out. The door was heavy and made a deep noise. She quickly entered and sent the light to see if anyone had awoken. She entered and stayed in the dark for a few seconds contemplating about whether or not to turn on the lights. Eventually the light returned and confirmed that everyone was asleep. Nelle turned on the lights and her eyes winced as they adjusted to the light. Once adjusted, Nelle started looking around. She walked through fictional books, historic books, and some about educational topics.

She was tempted to read some of them but continued looking. She didn't know where to look. She couldn't find anything in the fiction section, encyclopedias, or books cryptids. She found a book that had the author Thomas Henderforth. She decided to read it and found that it was incomplete. The book had a few mistakes and could definitely be better. There were blocks of text in some pages and some parts didn't make sense. She thought about giving Thomas some criticism but decided against it as that would imply that she snuck round his house. Nelle knew that she could find the book she was looking for if she sorted by the words but she didn't know how. She would have to ask Scriptoh to teach her that ability.

The library had two floors with some tables on both floors. Some of them had chess or checker boards. It had a spiral staircase near a corner. There were dozens of shelves to look through. She wondered if there was a secret room hidden in the library but figured that it would take too long. She decided to get a good layout of the library and went back turning off the lights and summoning the glowing sphere again. She eventually returned back to her room and laid down on the bed.
