Chapter 35 Reading Two New Problems
Chapter Text
"You were away for a long time yesterday," Iapetus said. "Did you succeed?"
"Did you kill Eros?" Oceanus asked eagerly.
"You can't really kill a primordial god," Kronos said, one of the few times he bothered to interrupt. "But you can stop them, take their weapon of power and make sure they sleep," he said.
Kronos shrugged. "No. The fool managed to escape before I could kill him."
Iapetus raised an eyebrow. "Then what are you so pleased about?"
"Why are you pleased anyways?" Percy asked turning to face the king.
"Just listen to the book Jackson," Kronos said.
Huffing Percy turned to the reader and listened.
"Kronos!" Percy yelled, storming over to their table in the mess hall. "What the fuck was that last night?"
"Why yell that in the mess hall?" Annabeth asked, glancing up at her Percy frowned.
"Um, I was mad and wanted answers right away." Percy rubbed his neck and sighed.
"Kronos?" Iapetus demanded. "You did something last night?"
"No," Kronos said hurriedly.
"Yes!" Percy exclaimed. "This massive dickhead came to the top of the tower and suddenly ki-"
"Thinking back this, it was so obvious what he was going to say," Hyperion muttered.
Kronos slapped his hand over Percy's mouth. "Hold your tongue," he hissed. "Before I do it for you." Percy narrowed his eyes, but Kronos just smirked. "Licking my hand's not going to do anything, Percy."
"Notice he changed to your first name?" Hades asked, raising an eyebrow, was this the sign that Kronos liked Percy enough to call him by name?
"Why do silly mortals need two names or more anyways?" Kiois always the slight idiot asked.
"Its to identify, status, family, so its not so confusing?" Malcom said with sass, he was tired and just wanted to sleep but nooo.... Don't get him wrong, he loved reading just like any other child of Athena. But he was tired, grieving and just wanted rest. But NOOOO they had to listen another chapter of the really big book. Grieving because his crush sat beside Percy, on the Titan's side. He had tried to get over it, telling himself that Luke had already hurt so many of them... But seeing him again hurt (**)
Iapetus raised an eyebrow. "Since when did you call him Percy?"
"Since he-"
"Outside," Kronos snapped, scrambling to his feet, and grabbing Percy by the arm to drag the demigod after him. "Now."
Ares scoffed and glared. "That was so obvious," he said tilting his heard with a type of laziness to Kronos who just gazed at him with cold gold eyes. Only breaking their gazes when Percy whispered something to him. Once Ares was sure the Titan wasn't facing him, did he sag slightly, he may not be entirely afraid of the Titan, since all of their powers to hurt were currently locked up. Thanks to the Fates, but still Kronos was scary. Everyone in this room was scared of him, all due to different reasons. With that thought Ares glances at Percy who smirks and mouths: were you scared?
