Chapter 33 Reading Revelations and Sack of Rome
Percy grabbed the book from Annabeth and opened it to the last chapter she had left off at, all the immortals had come to a silent agreement that it was time to put the book down and take a break. Hestia had stood up from her spot in the center of the flames waved her hands and spread them out summoning food for everyone to eat. Once they had finished and every demigod had moved enough, they began to read once more, all sitting in the same places. Some where still while the ones with bad ADHD tried to not fidget.
Hephaestus took pity on the demigods and allowed them to pick one fidget trinket before he motioned for Percy to read.
Kronos was honestly regretting telling Iapetus to fire away – his brother had done that.
Hyperion snorted with laughter, "Fire is my specialty," he said.
"With questions dummy, I made Kronos confront a lot of his feelings." Iapetus said and smacked his brother who scowled at him.
Even after he had left, Kronos was left staring at the spot Iapetus had been standing in. Kronos vanished in a flash of light, reappearing in front of Iapetus, and grabbing him before flashing them up to his room and vaporizing every monster and demigod in the corridor.
He slammed Iapetus into the wall. "What the fuck do you mean?" he demanded angrily.
Iapetus shoved him off, his silver eyes flaring angrily. "Come on, Kronos, don't play games with me." He paused when he saw the expression on Kronos' face. "Or you're too scared to admit it," he finished.
"Kronos is scared to admit his feelings?" Jason asked and glanced to his grandfather who had narrowed eyes but didn't move away to harm him for questioning, maybe he was under an oath whistle they read the book?
"Admit what?" Kronos snarled. "I have nothing to admit."
Aphrodite and half of her cabin were staring at Percy as he read on, their eyes unblinking and making him, a Titan slightly creeped out, these were fangirls and fanboys, all hanging on the edge to hear his love life. To be honest Percy was quite surprised Aphrodite had not known what was going to happen... maybe that's because he was immortal and now Eros had control? Because even though she had been born from Ouranos.... She was a goddess.???
Iapetus laughed. "What's that mortal saying? Oh, yes. Denial is not just a river in Egypt, brother. Percy Jackson has stolen your heart," he smirked. "I can see it. It's obvious if you know the signs."
"What?!" Came everyone's shocked replies, as they all turned to look at Kronos who scowled. "Face straight and listen to the fucking book," the king sneered.
"I didn't think he had a heart, with all the stories that you tell us of the Second Titan war it just isn't imaginable," Leo whispered to Annabeth who scowled and smacked the impish boy on the head. She was still hurt over the fact that she was not with Percy. The book had confirmed it and now she was nursing a sore heart.
Kronos snorted. "It's a universally known fact that I have no heart to be stolen in the first place, brother," he said smugly. "Your assumption is invalid."
"Then why are you denying it?" Iapetus laughed. "You know I'm right. Otherwise you wouldn't have chased after me."
"It is impossible," Kronos snapped.
"I try to do five things impossible before breakfast," Percy said pausing in reading, he glanced at his father under his lashes and wondered how he was taking this... his fathers face was emotionless and his clenched fists were all he needed to know. Their eyes met and his father rose an eyebrow in questioning but did not speak. Looking for his link with his father he smiles mildly and said: even though we already talked about this... I was afraid you would disown me.
