The Bloom Titan (1/2)

CH.4: Goodbye Home

I have killed at least thirteen titans by now, and saved numerous lives, men, women and children. I am close to running out of gas and blades so I need to go back home quickly and go to wall rose.

I run towards Maggie that's still tied up and going crazy at the crowds of people running by.
"Woah Maggie, calm down, I'm here now."I say soothingly brushing my hand along her neck.

She stops rearing and stands still as I untie the lead rope attached to a post. I pull the last of the rope out of the knot and jump onto the saddle and dig my heel into her side making her gallop.

I turn my head to see a Titan trying to get its hands on the last boat. I jerk Maggie's reins in the direction of the Titan and draw my worn out blades and ready to jump at any second.

We got close enough for me to grapple onto the monsters back and swing up to its nape. I used a different technique to cut its nape. It's when you spin around and gain momentum so you are guaranteed a clean cut.

The Titan fell underneath my feet landing with a thud, it started to evaporate as I ran back to Maggie. I heard cheering behind me so I turned to see what it was.

Everyone on the boat was waving their hands about and cheering for me. I saw two particular faces staring at me. Eren and Mikasa.

"That's not fair, why didn't you tell me you are the mystery scout?!" Eren whines flailing around his arms.

I let out a small chuckle and start a gallop in the direction of my house as fast as I could.
I wonder if my village has evacuated yet or if the titans reached it before they got the chance.

I jump out the saddle and sprint into the empty house, I ran downstairs into the basement and refilled my gas tanks and blades until they were full and couldn't hold anymore.

I ran up to the second floor faster than lightning and ran into mama and papas room, and up to mamas vanity and grabbed her gold necklace that had a golden rose as a charm, then I ran over to papas bedside table and grabbed his favourite book named 'The World of Mystery'.

I ran through to my room and quickly grabbed my other clothes and a hooded jumper just in case. I grabbed my cloak and ran out the room and down the stairs. I stopped at the front door and looked behind me at the house I was going to have to abandon.

"Goodbye Mama, Goodbye Papa, Goodbye home, Goodbye Adori Manor." I whispered, adjusting the rucksack on my back.

I ran out the door and locked it behind me taking the silver key with me. I jumped back onto Maggie and rode towards the local village to alert the villagers about the disaster.

A strange looking Titan appeared with skin that looked like armour had ran into the gate breaking it down. I had only got out the gate on time, moments before it was bashed in.

I arrived at the village and it was completely deserted apart from the occasional rat or dormouse running by.
I want to go to Else and Charlie's house and say goodbye to it for them.

I turned the corner to see their beautiful cottage house and halted in front of it. I jumped off my horse and walked up to the door and knocked on it.

The door opened revealing Else and Charlie, standing there staring blankly at me.

"C-Charlie, Els-se, is that y-you?"I whimpered, the hairs on my arms rose. "I thought you both died..."
