I sigh as I walk into the office. The higher-ups have to have a meeting about the Titan serum Kenny gave Levi, Darius Zackly was also invited as he was to decide who it gets entrusted to. The liquid that is called 'Titan serum', seems to be made from a fluid found inside your body.
Hanji waves to me enthusiastically. "Hey, Ezlyn. Glad you could come over!" She smiles broadly as I walk over to the scouts group that only consisted of Hanji, Erwin and Levi. Commander Pixis was also there.
"Yeah, I had to come as it is important. Especially because the Supreme Commander is coming over." I chuckle sheepishly, hiding my hands in my long military coat.
The office door opens and I turn to see who it is. Commander Zachly walks in.
"Sorry I'm late." He says blandly. He walks over to the table and sits down at the head of it. "Well? Have you figured out what's in that vial?" He asks, clasping his hands together.
Hanji walks over to the table and looks down on the open case containing the syringe and vial. "Well, unfortunately... we don't have the technology necessary to analyse something like this. Like Ezlyn, Eren and Historia have said, it seems to be made from some kind of human bodily fluid. But because it evaporates on contact with the air, a detailed analysis is currently impossible. Whoever made it must have had technology far superior to ours. If the Reiss family made it, I can't imagine how they did it." She finishes.
Pixis steps forward. "In that case, we should forego further testing and instead use it to further our objectives." He states.
"Then who do we trust to hold on to it? Would you take it, Erwin?" Zackly asks glancing over to Erwin who was opposite me.
"No..." Erwin sighs, reaching over to his empty sleeve on his right side. "My days as a soldier are over. The box should be entrusted to one of our strongest soldiers with the best odds of survival." He looks over to me. "Ezlyn, could I ask you to take it?"
I stiffen. "N-No, I can't. When we go on the mission to retake the wall and Reiner and Bertholdt are there, I'll be one of their primary targets. If I get captured, it'll be deemed useless and we won't get the chance to use it. Ask Levi, he is also better at making decisions than I." I bow my head and step back a bit.
"Levi, would you mind if you have it?" Erwin then asks. I look up at Levi who had his hands in his pockets and is staring at me in thought.
"If you're giving me an order, just say so." He looks up at Erwin. "Why are you making it a question?"
Erwin looks back at the open case on the table. "We can't predict what situations mights call for the use of this vial. Like Ezlyn said, we have to trust in your ability to make decisions on the spot. That includes deciding when and on who it should be used." He looks back over to Levi. "Can we leave that to you?"
Levi looks at Erwin out of the corner of his eye. "If this dream of yours comes true, what will you do next?"
Erwins face falls and he squints his eyes. "I don't know. I'll find out when it happens."
"I see. Fine, then. I'll do it." Levi reaches over the table and closes the case over. He picks it up and puts it in his pocket. Commander Zackly clears his throat.
"By the way, I'm hoping to present my artwork to the public sometime soon. What's your verdict on that?" He asks. I arch an eyebrow.
"Artwork, what do you-" Hanji's hand goes over my mouth to shut me up. She lifts it and cups it round my ear.
"He's talking about his torture instruments. He's been using them on the fake royal society that worked for Rod Reiss." My lips form an '0' shape and I decide to not say a word.
