Chapter 12

Tonis POV
Three months later (5 months in the boarding school) I walked into the lunch hall with my head down avoiding all judgmental stares. I quickly bought myself a sandwich and a energy drink from the caffeine then headed to the library. Just as I was leaving missy caught my eye she was watching me our eyes met for a moment...yup she was still angry I rolled my eyes and continued to the library. When i finally got to the place I went to the very back corner and sat down with a sigh. I started to eat while staring at the books on the shelf and I drifted into my thoughts. Missy was so angry the day after it happened well she actually hasn't calmed down about it...I guess she has never been rejected before. I wonder if Cheryl is okay? Does she miss me? Because I miss her I can't wait to get out of here! To see betty! But...what if they don't miss me? What if they have forgotten about me? What if I go back and Cheryl has someone else? Fuck I snapped out of my thoughts when I realised my heart was ponding and Emily was threatening to come out "what are you doing!" A brown haired girl asked running to me I looked at my hands and my claws where out and when I looked in the girls eyes I could see my red eyes reflecting back "am-am having p-p-panic attack" I whined holding my hands over my face "focus on my voice Toni. It's okay your safe" Emily was really fighting me "I can't!!" I growled trying to get away from the girl "get out! Now!" I screamed "Maddison! Help me!" The girl shouted then suddenly a blonde haired walked in with a lit cigarette in her hand "argh wolfs and their anger issues" she groaned "she isn't angry she is panicking" the other said I could feel Emily taking over but she quickly retreated when a high pitched whistle raided my ears I groaned and kneeled on the floor "okay! Am okay! Please stop!" I shouted it felt like my head was going to explode. Finally it stopped and I looked at the two girl "hi" I sighed with a smile they both rolled there eyes "you can tidy up your mess" the brown haired girl said annoyed I looked around and where I was sitting there was no books on the shelf and the chairs where flipped "yeh definitely am-" I was about to say when I got interrupted "am Maddison and this is Zoe. And you need to learn to control yourself ,a wolf with your power shouldn't be turning without control" she said I looked at her confused. How does she know? "I have been here for 5 months and I know nothing about what I am,who I am and I have no clue how to control myself" I admitted they both looked at each other with a smile "we can help you" they both said at the same time. I nodded my head "first we find you an anchor"
*the end of year challenges*
"Wellcome all to the the end of year challenges! This is when we test every learners progress during this school year, so friends and family enjoy and let the best win!" I heard Cornelia announce to the huge crowd. I sighed feeling my nerves "hey come on TT you are going to smash it! You have been doing so good!" I heard Zoe say with a laugh, I sighed again "am just nervous that my father will be watching me and I have no idea who else is here, thanks to you witches I can't smell out of the games" I said sitting down on a wooden seat "hey! Us witches are the only reason you have a chance to win this, also it's too keep you stupid dogs focused instead of running and humping your mates" maddy said putting out her tab and throwing it on the floor I rolled my eyes and smiled at the girl "you love this stupid dog tho" I said smuggly I saw a small smile creep on her face then quickly disappear "well you two need to get ready for the witch part of the challenges" I said pointing at the two they laughed "don't worry about us we know what we are doing, you on the other hand, this is your first time so we need too give you some points."Zoe said But maddy interrupted "First, these wolfs have no respect it's survival of the fittest out there. Second, I know you get extra points for the biggest animal brought back but go for the smallest and easiest. Third, stay alone don't make a pack or any friends. Forth, remember this is your first time just get to know the game don't try to win, try to get back unhurt" I nodded taking in every word I could. She talks fast. "Everyone to there tents the games will begin shortly" I head the speaker say. Zoe gave me a hug and Maddison just smiled at me slightly " good luck TT" Zoe said smiling and leaving my small tent "don't die" maddy said then left I sighed looking into my mirror. It's been a long year but Maddison and Zoe really saved me and helped me through so much. "All wolves report to the starting line for camera fittings immediately" the speaker said making me loose my train of thought completely. I stood up, took a deep breath and headed to the start line. When I came up to it there was many people in wolf form along the line "is it time now" emi said patiently "wait not yet" I answered she agreed. "Hahaha your so small!" One boy said  "Do you really think you have a chance?" Said the second boy "You might as well leave now hahaha" said the only girl. I looked at the end of the line and there was a younger boy being bullied but a group of older people. Nobody is even realising this is happening, I honestly want to be one of them I know it's horrible but I hate confrontation. I was going to look the other way but I just couldn't, also being bullied myself I know how bad it can make you feel. I walked over to the group "hey, leave him alone" I said a bit shaky they all looked between each other then started to laugh "shut it tiny before you get hurt" one of the boys said, I looked down at the younger boy and held out my hand "come with me, we can start on the other side" I said he smiled and held onto my hand "aw look he found himself a girlfriend" the other boy said as we walked away. As we walked away I saw everyone watching is as we made our way to the other side. "you can't protect him forever! Watch your back!" I heard one of them shout but I just kept going. "thank you" the small boy whispered I smiled back. "Emi it's time now" I said I felt her get excited and jump out. After a few seconds I was in wolf form and when I looked down there was a very small wolf puppy smiling up at me. "Stay safe, go for the easy hunt and stay away from any wolf" I mind said to the smaller wolf, he nodded. After a few seconds of waiting staff came around and placed a camera around our necks. "Lady's and gentlemen also those non specific gender people welcome to the wolf annual games! So our amazing wolves will race to the edge of the woods, hunt the biggest animals they can find then race back. The winner will be rewarded. There are no rules. Good luck." I heard Cornelia shout exactly. I looked up at where the crowd would be but it's just a clear blue sky, the crowd is behind the sky, it's fake, it's a spell that Cornelia placed so we can't see our family and get distracted. "3...2...1" as soon as the bell rang I sprinted from the line completely focused on getting back unharmed. I kept my eyes on the floor as I moved as fast as I possibly could into the woods it was only then I slowly down so I could try and listen for a rabbit or just something small so I can get back to the tent and see Zoe and Maddison. I kept searching hoping I don't run into any other wolves but of course I did. "Aw you don't have your little girlfriend to save you. There are no rules here boy we can do what ever we want" I heard a familiar snarl. I wanted to just let it go and get out of here but I couldn't. I slowly crept up behind the three wolves and saw that they where surrounding the small puppy again but this time it seemed more rage full. I pounced over one of the wolfs just as they where going to attack and stood in front of the small puppy, I growled warning them that I wasn't playing anymore. I saw a glims of fear in their eyes but they played it off "Ooooo so scary" I heard one of them say "there is three of us and one of you! We know who is going to win" I heard the other laugh I just stood my ground growing more and more angry at the group. I looked back at the smaller wolf and he was standing under me baring his teeth trying to look scary. Everything happened so fast one minute we are standing face to face then the next we are fighting.
Cheryl's POV
"What the hell is happening!? Is this allowed?" I shouted to alpha as we watched Tonis camera and saw them fighting he stayed silent and just watched I sighed leaning back in my chair "the lady said there was no rules so technically yeh...it's okay" betty said with a worried tone "why the hell do they put kids in this game!" I shouted and people started to look at me but I didn't care. It went black . Tonis camera went black and so did the little kids. Alpha stood up quickly and started leaving "where are you going!!?" I shouted but he just kept going I looked at betty with complete worry "she is fine,she is fine, it's toni, she is okay the camera could have broken or fell off" betty chanted hopefully. There was wolfs starting to come back but there was no toni to been seen. Eventually most wolfs where back expect for toni, the kid and the other three wolfs everyone was in complete silence and we waited to see who came out of the woods, "look! Who is that!?" I heard someone shout. I looked over at the edge of the woods and I saw toni covered in blood ( am not sure who's) carrying the small wolf in her mouth and another passed out wolf on her back.everyone started cheering.She was limping and kept falling too the floor there was paramedic people waiting at the Finnish line but they can't help until they cross the line. Toni was so close to the line when she gently placed the young wolf over the line then threw the wolf off her back across the line just as everyone thought toni was going to cross the line she turned around and started slowly walking back her head low. I could tell she was tired. I felt like I could feel her pain. I was in the edge of my seat as she disappeared into the woods again then after 10 minutes she came back with the other two wolfs one on her back and the other In Her mouth. Everyone started to cheer again. Toni kept dropping to the floor because of the weight but each time she would get back up and keep going. She was so close to the end she threw the wolf that was in her mouth across the line. As soon as her foot crossed the line she collapsed to the floor. The paramedics immediately surrounded her and there was a big siren to signal the end of the race "can everyone please go to the main hall inside the building until we can give you more information" I heard a female voice say dramatically with a worried tone. I really hope she is okay.
