Rain keeps falling, tears keep falling
Rain keeps falling, tears keep falling
Darling, your love is like walking a bed of nails
And I just can't keep on falling***
Harry.
She's fast asleep by the time we arrive back at the house, the gates creak open the second our headlights illuminate them. I can't help but watch her chest slowly rise then deflate as she breathes at a slow pace.
So kind, yet so broken.
On our way back home, I anonymously dialed 113, the emergency number in Italy, and directed them to Riviera's body, I want everyone to know what he did. I want everyone to know what kind of person he is. Well, was.
I'm proud of what I did, and if given the opportunity, I'd gladly do it over and over again. Riviera had never been a nice guy, that much I knew, he constantly snubbed small amounts of drugs every time he had to do a run. What he did with it after? He would resell it, for double the price. My quality, at his price? Not on my watch.
However, I truly would've never believed he could do something like this. Otherwise, I would've never sent Bella. This was supposed to be an easy mission, just to make her an established member of the gang, and Kendra was supposed to be back up, just in case. They were supposed to bond or something like that.
Kendra is a bad person, but she's lethal. It's why I've kept her around for so long. Now while she may have a heart as black as coal, she always takes missions seriously, this one was supposed to be included. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do when I see her.
Kill her? Probably not. I haven't really thought it through.
I pull into the driveway, not bothering to park the car into the garage. Turning off the engine, I slowly walk over to Bella's side and open the car door gently.
Since she was leaning on the door as she rested, she slowly started to fall out of the vehicle. I catch her before she makes any more injuries.
She softly lands into my arms. I reach one arm gently under her legs and the other arm around her neck and pick her up. I hold her close to my chest as I use one of my legs to kick the car door closed.
After some struggle, I managed to ring the doorbell and I'm met by a panicked Liam. His eyes are wide at the appearance of me covered in blood.
"Where di- " I cut him off by shushing him probably louder than he was talking. I gesture to the unconscious girl in my arms. His eyes go wide at the sight of all the bruises covering her arms.
Without saying another word, Liam opens the door even wider allowing me and Bella to enter.
I ignore all the stares people are giving me as I walk through the house and into my bedroom. Using my foot, I try to kick the handle in order to open the door, and thank God it works.
I enter the room not expecting the surprise on my bed, Kendra.
She's sitting there clearly waiting for me, she's wearing leggings and what looks to be my Rolling Stones T-shirt that I have been missing for a few weeks now.
She doesn't even look at me because she is looking at the broken girl in my arms. Ignoring Kendra, I gently place Bella onto my bed before going into the bathroom.
I turn on the water in order to fill a bath for Bella. Kendra follows me, "Look-".
"Shut the fuck up Ken, I don't have time for you, go away."
