"You are my sunshine. My only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey. You never know dear how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away." Mommy sang to me quietly as I lay in bed falling asleep slowly.
"Mommy why do you have to leave?" I asked her as she kissed my forehead.
"Sweetie its only for a few hours. Mommy has to work so we can have nice things." She whispered brushing through my hair with her fingers gently.
"I like nice things." I laughed.
"I know you do honey. I love you so much." She smiled and hugged me once more before going to Liam's bed and kissing his forehead once more, turning the light off.
"I love you too mommy." She left and I soon fell asleep.

I woke up to sounds of voices coming from outside. Sitting myself up I turned the lamp on and got out of bed going to Liam's and shaking his shoulder.
"Liam? Liam wake up." I tried but he wasn't showing any signs of waking up soon. I sighed and went to the door cracking it open and looking out to see daddy talking to a man at the door.
"Daddy?" I called out to him. He turned around and saw me, his eyes teary and red.
"Calli sweetie go back to bed." He told me and the man at the door said something to him quickly before patting his shoulder and leaving the house.
"Where's mommy?" I questioned as daddy walked towards me and got down on his knees to talk to me.
"Mommy isn't coming home." He said in a shaky breath.
"Why?" I asked.
"Just go back to bed right now sweetie. I'll tell you and your brother in the morning." He assured and I frowned.
"Tell us what?" I turned to see my brother behind me and daddy pulled us close to him and he told us what happened.
