Chapter 30: Unexpected

Samantha

"Ladies and gentlemen welcome to Sanford Company twenty-first Anniversary. A long year of this big and prestigious company, one of the famous company in Asia and all over the world, please give a round of aplouse for our Vice President and Acting CEO, Mr. Ace Tyron Sanford"

Naupo ng palakpakan ang buong silid na ito, hindi ko magawang makisabay dahil sa hawak pa rin ni Ace ang mga kamay ko. Tumayo ito ngunit bago iyun ay merun itong binulong. "Don't you dare talk with that jerk besides you, Samantha. Hindi mo magugustohan ang sunod kong gagawin sa oras na kinausap mo iyan" banta nito at palihim na binigyan ng matatalim na tingin si Clarck.

I took a deep breath when I leaves, as he said I didn't dare to talk with Clarck. Knowing Ace, he's such a short temper person, hindi ko lang maisip kung bakit s'ya nagkakaganito.

"Thank you for coming, this event was one of a momentous event of my life. I don't have a long speech, i haven't prepaired one" nagtawanan ang mga tao sa sinabi nito. "Again thank you for coming" wika nito at binigay ang microphone sa emcee, he smiled and take his leave. Bumalik ito sa upuan at muling hinawakan ang kamay ko.

"Good girl" he murmured.

The event goes well, I can't relate with them. Its all about business again, we're now waiting for the time where in the board officials and stock holders will announce the opening of Sanford Company's publishing house.

I got a change to leave the hall when Ace called by Mrs. Mondano. Dinala ako ng mga paa ko sa likurang bahagi ng hotel, walang kahit anong ilaw rito ngunit nandyan ang buwan upang magbigay liwanag sa gabing ito.

Looking at the moon and feeling the breeze of the night makes me feel relaxed, but those feelings went wrong when I cold wind touches my skin. Kung malamig kanina mas malamig ang nararamdaman ko ngayon, parang may yelong nilapat sa aking balat. I'm not a kind of person na naniniwala sa mga haka-haka pero sabi nila pag nakakaramdam ka ng lamig na hindi normal ay merung kalulowang nakayakap sa iyo.

Maniniwala na talaga ako sa multo o sa mga pamahiing yan, ramdam kong merung nakayakap sa akin, minumulto ba 'ko ng mga napatay ko noon sa organisasyon? Wag naman sana.

"Why the fuck are you shouting" galit na boses ni Ace ang narinig ko, I feel his breath in my neck. His arms makes me feel warm, his presence makes my heart beat so darn fast, he gaves me butterflies in my stomach.

"Sorry I just thought your a ghost"

He didn't bother to answer, he hugged me tightly. This moment is momentous too, this moment is romantic. Gusto kong paniwalaan ang puso ko.. na unti-unti nang nakakapasok sa puso ko si Ace ngunit iba ang sinasabi ng isip ko. He's the guy who makes my life miserable, he's the guy who makes me cry the most. He's always be a Sanford. And God knows how much I hated that last name secretly.

Ngunit kahit hindi na n'ya 'ko mahalin, God just let him love my son. I know its so quick, in just a snap I fall in love with this guy. I think its just happens this night, b-but I don't want to assume that he loves me, what if he and Stacy are together? The girl on the picture on his bedside on his condo? What if he just showing all of this cause he knows that I am his son's mother?

"Samantha?" Those husky voice.

"Hmm?"

"The moon is beautiful isn't it?" Tanong nito at tumingin sa magandang buwan.

"Yeah it is" pagsang-ayon ko.

"You're beautiful as the moon"

Kinagat ko ang ibabang bahagi ng labi ko upang pigilan ang mga ngiti. Don't assume Sam, masasaktan ka lang.

Nang bumalik kami ni Ace ay mas lalong dumami ang tao, biglang ng bago ang mood ko ng makita ang higad na Stacy papalapit sya sa amin, well she's gorgoeus. Matamis ang ngiti nito kay at ng tumingin sa akin ay peke naman.

"Lets talk, Ace. It's important" pabulong na wika nito sapat lang upa g marinig ko.

Tumango si Ace at tumingin sa 'kin, "I'll leave you for a moment, Sam. Wag kang umalis dito, i'll come back" bilin nito at sumama kay Stacy.

Tinanaw ko sila habang naglalakad palabas ng hall,  nanigas ako sa kinatatayuan ko ng biglang may sumabog at doon iyun sa nilalakaran nina Ace, nagkagulo ang mga tao ngunit mas lalo akong nagulat ng merung pumasok na mga armadong lalaki kasabay nito ang pagtama ng bala sa bandang ulo ko. And everything went black ngunit bako mawala ang isip ko ay rinig ko ang boses ng isang batang nahihirap at alam kong kay Peyton iyun.
