Chapter 10

When Marinette was sure that Adrien left, she tried saying something with the last powers that she had left.

"Tikki, where are you?" Came through her mouth.

Suddenly a little red creature appeared and flew over to Marinette.  

"Marinette I am here," Said she with her soft voice.

Tears started rolling down Marinette's face.

"I'm so sorry Tikki. Look at what I have done" Said she while crying. 

The sky was all grey and everything seemed so depressed.

"It's not your fault Marinette. You were akumatized and you weren't the person who you truly are"

Marinette knew that, but it still felt like she had been weak and given in. 

"I need to transform now," Said Marinette a few moments later.

Tikki looked surprised at her. 

"Marinette, you can not transform right now. You're too weak." Said Tikki.

"But that is the only choice that I have left. If I don't do it the city will be miserable forever and who knows how long I can hold on after Chat Noir's cataclysm." Responded Marinette. 

Tikki took a deep breath and said, "Okay, but be careful"

"Always" Replied Marinette with a little smile on her face.

"Tikki spots on!" 

Every bone in her body hurt like she was dying a painful death. 

She slowly got up from the ground while her left arm was supporting her chest. She then took her yoyo and said to herself, "Come on Marinette. There are only a few seconds of pain left"  

She threw the yoyo as high as she could while yelling "Lucky charm!" 

A red rose appeared in her hand. She was about to throw it up to the sky again but a voice stopped her. 

"Marinette or Ladybug, wait!" Shouted Adrien while running towards her. 

"Oh no, he saw everything," Thought Ladybug to herself.

When he got up to her he tried forming a sentence but no words could come out of his mouth. He then saw the red rose in her hand.

"That looks like the one I got you a while ago, M'lady" 

Ladybug's eyes went big and she stammered, "Ch...Cha...Chat... is that you?"

Adrien smiled and nodded.

It felt like the pain from Ladybugs chest disappeared and a mix of confusion and love appeared in her heart. 

"I...I...Don't know what to say...I never thought that you were Chat Noir..."

"I get it" Responded Adrien. "We are not very much alike, but for me, it seems so clear that you're Ladybug."

"How?" Asked Ladybug with a surprised voice. "I know you like Ladybug, but Marinette is not as confident and determined as she is. Marinette is clumsy and indecisive."  Said she while looking down at her feet.

Adrien got closer to her, lifted her chin and looked her deep in the eyes.

"M'lady I love you both. It's not only the self-assured Ladybug that melt's my heart. Marinette, you are the sweetest and most caring person that I have ever met. You protect all the people that are dear to you just like Ladybug. You and her have more in common than you can imagine"
