Chapter 5

Marinette just couldn't take it anymore. She ran and ran.

"Marinette, why are you running? What happened?" Said Tikki with a concerned voice. She had no clue what was happening and why her dear owner was so upset.

"I don't want to talk right now!" Yelled Marinette.

Never before had Tikki witnessed such behaviour from Marinette and that worried her a lot. She prayed that Marinette would cool down before it became too late.

Marinette found a small empty street. She stopped and leaned against a cold brick wall. She tried to understand what was happening. Everything seemed so messed up inside her head.

"Marinette you need to calm down and think happy thoughts. You know what was about to happen last time you lost control."

A wave of anger was building inside Marinette's body. She clenched her fists and yelled, "Stop talking! Can you just leave me alone?! Can you all just let me be, just one time?! Is that too much to ask for?!"

Tikki crouched herself in the little pink bag.

"Everything is going to be fine," Said she to herself. "Marinette will figure this out like she always does. I just need to give her a bit of time."

Marinette felt hurt. She felt sadness and anger. She had never experienced anything like that before.

She fell down on the ground and started crying. She cried hard and for a long time.

Adrien had just seen Marinette running away crying.

"I should go after her..." Said Adrien

He lifted his shirt to the side and Plagg appeared.

"She probably forgot something at home. Why even bother going after her when we could just sit here and eat some Camembert." Replied Plagg with his shifty voice.

"You know that either way we're not sitting here and eating Camembert, but she looked sad. You know what I will go after her and make sure she's okay."

Marinette was already out of sight, and Adrien hadn't seemed to notice where she had gone.

"Guess this will take some time," Said Adrien.

They had been walking for quite a while now.

"Can you just give up?" Said Plagg exhausted even though it wasn't him walking.

"Maybe you're right." Said Adrien upset. "Come let's go back to school..."

He was about to turn around and head to school, but a glimpse of purple caught his eye. It came closer and closer and now he finally saw what it was.

"Plagg, It's an Akuma. We have got to follow it and find the source."

The Akuma was taking a turn on the left and heading towards an empty street. Well, not completely empty. A girl with dark hair was sitting on the ground and crying.

Adrien recognised the girl immediately. It was Marinette.

He was getting ready to transform, but he could not do it in front of her.

"What will happen if she finds out?!" Thought Adrien.

The only solution now was to warn her.

"Marinette!" Adrien yelled, with all the power of his voice.

Marinette looked up and saw Adrien running towards her. He yelled her name so intense and that she could not ignore him. 

She looked up and immediately saw an Akuma. An Akuma, that was headed towards her. 

There was nothing left to do. The Akuma was only two seconds away from turning her into a monster.

She quickly took off her earrings and threw them at Adrien.

Suddenly everything went black and more she couldn't remember.
