Chapter 6

Lucky for Marinette that Adrien had god reflects because any other person could not have caught does small black earrings.

Adrien put them in his warm palm and studied them with his eyes. He had never even noticed that Marinette wore earrings, but somehow they seemed quite familiar to him. 

He was so focused on the earrings that he had forgotten what was about to happen. 

"Lady Heartbroken, I am Hawk Moth." Said a gloomy voice that somehow caught Marinette's attention.

"I see the grieve that was caused by unexpectedness. I now grant you the power to control everyone around with just a simple swish. Then nothing will happen without your concern."  Said Hawk Moth with a promising voice.

"You can keep the boy all to yourself.The only thing I ask for in return is nothing compared to the power you will behold. I just need Ladybug's and Chat Noir's Miraculous." 

"You can count on me, Hawk Moth." Said she in response with a vengeful voice. 

Suddenly a dark purple fog appeared around Marinette. It felt a bit like transforming into Ladybug just this transformation was dark and cold, but it felt powerful. Even more powerful than her usual one.

Her hair changed colour and got a purple glow. Her normal clothes were replaced with a black dress. On her tiny arms, appeared long dark gloves and a crown in the same colour was placed on top of her head. Where the tears had run down before appeared black stripes. Her warm blue eyes were long gone and now replaced with pink eyes that glowed with misery.

Not only did Marinette's appearance change but a feeling for revenge spread through her body. She was not the same anymore. She was Lady Heartbroken.

Adrien could not believe his eyes when this girl appeared before him. All the qualities that he admired in Marinette were gone. Now there was only a cool soul standing before him.

"Marinette, please stop."  Said Adrien while almost crying.

Marinette snapped and flew up above him. 

"I'm not Marinette anymore! I'm Lady heartbroken." Said she provoked.

"Ma... I mean Lady Heartbroken, why are you doing this?"

Lady Heartbroken flew very close to him that their faces were almost touching each other.

"Adrien, I'm doing this for us. So you and I can be together always forever."

Adrien became frightful.

"No, this is not right,"  Said he while gaining a bit of courage. "If we should ever fall in love then it will not be by force."

Lady Heartbroken became angry and flew up onto the sky.

"So you want to play that game, my Adrien?!" Said she aggressively.

"Now you will see how powerful I am!"

She stretched her right arm elegantly and then followed with the left. 

Suddenly a dark mist flew over the city. 

On every citizen appeared a stripe on both of their checks, just like Lady Heartbroken's. They then dropped everything that they were doing and looked up at her.

"Look at this, my Adrien. I can make anyone do whatever I want, even you... but I don't want to do that. I want the real you to love me." Said she while flying down towards him.

He looked up at her and said with an assured voice, "In a few minutes Ladybug will arrive and she will free you from Hawk Moth's dark powers." 

Lady Heartbroken tapped Adrien's nose with her index finger while laughing.

"You're so sweet and pathetic, my little Adrien. Don't you get it? I am..."
