Mayla, Vogue, and I were walking back toward the facility. I was still shocked by the news I just heard. If Itzel's plan worked, this means that I will have to face my friends. I didn't want this to happen. I also had to figure out a way to tell the boss how I brought Mayla. When I left the base, I wasn't exactly planning on taking someone back with me. Maybe we should hide her. This way, no one will know that we left.

"Listen, you won't tell anyone you are here. We will hide you," I told Mayla.

"Don't you have permission from the boss? I thought everyone had to," Mayla questioned.

"How come you know about the boss," Vogue asked, clearly mad that she was kept out of our conversation.

"I am working with you. I was supposed to guard Selina. I was doing a great job in it until she decided to run away," Mayla said with a hint of anger.

"I am sorry, okay. I didn't mean to leave you guys," I apologized.

"You don't have to apologize to me. I knew that you were with the organization. Save your apology for the others, they spent every day and night searching for you. Maybe if they didn't waste all their energy on finding you, they could have escaped the attack," Mayla replied.

"Go easy on her, girl. You realize there is no need for all of this. Be glad she came and got you out of there," Vogue argued.

"No Vogue, she is right. I shouldn't have left without telling them. I made a big mistake and now I need to correct it," I said firmly.

I was going to find my friends and bring them back safely. How was I going to do that, no idea. We continued walking in silence after that, none of us knowing what to say. When we reached the portal, it was clear that one hour still didn't pass.

"How are we supposed to get inside? All I see is an elevated piece of land," Mayla asked.

"We will have to wait for an hour to pass. The portal will open then," I told her.

We plopped down on the ground and sat there for several minutes. Vogue and Mayla both started playing using their powers. Vogue was creating small statues with rock while Mayla was binding leaves together to form weird-looking things. Since both of them were using their abilities, I decided to use one of mine. I created a small tornado, letting it hover above the ground with a few centimeters. I made the tornado swir with lighting. Both girls stopped what they were doing and immediately turned their attention to me.

"How could you do that," Mayla asked questioningly.

"I thought you already knew. I discovered my abilities the first day I got here. I have four," I informed Mayla.

Mayla's eyes grew wide with surprise. I started explaining to Mayla what I could and demonstrating them. Before we even knew it, the one hour had passed and the portal opened. We quickly got up and entered. When we were safely inside, the portal closed once more. I knew it would never open again. We were faced by a furious looking Mr. Corston. I gulped a few times. We were officially busted.

"Just what do you think you are doing," he shouted at us.

We all looked at him without saying a single word. Nothing could be heard for the next few minutes.

"You will go to the boss immediately. He will know how to deal with you," Mr. Corston continued furiously when none of us answered.

He gestured for us to follow him and we all did. All three of us trailed behind the raging mentor. We were going to receive a harsh punishment, that is for sure.

Once we reached the entrance to the main headquarters, my teacher knocked three quick times and immediately opened the door.

"I have the children as you requested, sir. They seem to have another girl though. I will now leave you to discuss the matter," Mr. Corston said as he turned around and left the room.

This man really wasn't scared of anything. He didn't even wait for the leader's permission. I let the thought drop since I had more important matters to deal with.

"You could have really harmed yourself, you know. I can see you brought Mayla back," the leader began talking. Of course, the only thing I was able to do was listen because as last time, the room was pitch black.

"We are so sorry we disobeyed your commands. If you could please accept our apology," Vogue said, really intimidated by the strict voice.

"The solution for this problem is to punish you for what you have done, but due to circumstances, I will not do so. Itzel has already made her move. We are expecting a battle soon. If we were to be in a fight, we will need you. Selina, you are an Elite and one of the most powerful ones too. As for you Vogue, you are the most skilled and talented Earth Controller we have here. Mayla, even though I don't really like the way you learned about our organization, I have to admit that you are much more powerful than I thought you would be. We need all three of you to fight alongside us during the coming battle. After you leave this room, go straight for the weather-training area and you will find your teammates, one of the greatest people when it comes to controlling their elements. Your team will be our last resort if our defenses fail. We are counting on you. You may leave now," the leader continued.

This was so much information to take in! Itzel was planning war?! Did it really reach this far that quickly?! Was I supposed to stand against my friends in this war?! I turned around, opened the door, and exited the room into the shining corridor.

"I really don't like the sound of this. When I was first escorted here, I wasn't planning on fighting against an ancient power," Vogue lamented.

"None of us are comfortable with that, I can assure you. But we have no other option. It is either we stand up and fight, or watch as the world falls into darkness," Mayla tried to encourage Vogue by saying those words.

I started walking toward the training area. I have to admit that I was a little excited to see the rest of our team and see how they are dealing with the whole situation. I reached the gate and quickly entered. I was expecting to see many people using their powers and showing off, but all I could see were five children. One of them I knew well, Alon. The rest all directed their gazes at us and immediately started asking questions.
