Everything after that happened so fast it was literally incomprehensible. The black figure completely disappeared and there were no more of Itzel's soldiers. The whole situation was too bitter and scary for me to even understand. I didn't dare look at the person who sacrificed their life for me. I wasn't ready yet. Then I felt something rush through me. It was the pain of everything that has happened till now. It was so strong I could feel it physically. The last thing I remember was people rushing towards me and then I collapsed.

I woke up in a bright room. I was lying in a bed, too tired to even move. I turned my head a little and looked at my shoulder. It was wrapped in something that looked like a thick leaf cast. The events of the fight made my emotions spike. I felt every single negative emotion any person could feel. It is true that we are at least no longer threatened, but at what cost. I am sure that the person who saved me wasn't the only person who died. I hoped from all my heart that it wouldn't be anyone I knew. After I regained some strength, I got up and walked out of the room. The halls were completely empty. I could tell people have done a lot of fixes. How long was I out? I walked through the abandoned hallway until I heard some noises coming from inside one of the rooms. I knocked quickly and turned the doorknob, surprised to see that the door actually opened. When I entered the room, there were a lot of people chatting in a low voice. They all looked sad and abandoned.

"Selina, you are awake," Mayla said, clearly trying to show enthusiasm and miserably failing.

"What happened," I asked.

"There is a lot of bad news, I am sorry to say that. Here is a tip, don't talk about any person who died around here, people get emotional."
"I won't because I don't know any. Where are the rest?"
"Follow me and please try not to be shocked or to pass out again."

I nodded quietly and followed Mayla to the end of the room, where our little group was conversing silently. I noticed a few people missing, Vogue, Skyla, Alon, and Cyrus. Where were they? I mean all the rest were here, even Aaren and Cyan.

"Where are the rest," I asked.

Silence. No response. I was getting a sick feeling about it. Did they die? I made a mental note to search for them later since no one would tell me anything. Even though I spent time talking with my friends, I could tell there was something they were hiding, such as the fact that no one mentioned the rest. I was glad that Cressida was alright. She was chatting normally with the rest, like she had known them all her life. After a while I got bored and decided to go search for the rest. First, I went to my room to see if Vogue was there. I opened the door and was shocked to see that Vogue's side of the room was completely empty. I sat on my bed, was Vogue really gone?

"I am so sorry," Isolde said as she came into my room.

"Is she really gone," I said in a low voice.

"As much as I hate to say it, yes. She fought bravely and even held off the soldiers from entering into our main headquarters. She is an amazing person."

I felt small tears form in my eyes, but I wiped them away. Crying over her won't do anything. I had to find Itzel and destroy her once and for all.

"What about Alon," I asked, starting with the people who actually lived here seemed like a good idea to me. But once more, I was proven wrong. Isolde sat in complete silence beside me.

"Tell me what happened," I pressed.

"He's the one who protected you from the attack," Isolde said after a deep breath.

The only thing I could do was laugh.

"Are you sure Alon protected me? The guy despises me," I asked a little sarcastically.

When I saw no reaction from Isolde, I began to realize that what she said was true. Alon protected me? All this time I thought he hated me. I didn't even apologize to him for being so disrespectful. I took a deep breath. What is done can't be undone.

"Do you know Skyla and Cyrus," I asked, returning to my old friends.

"You mean the girl and boy who saved countless lives and protected the building. Sure thing I do."
"What happened to them?"
"Those...we aren't so sure what happened to them. They just vanished when the rest of the troops did. We have a theory though. We think they have been taken by Itzel."
Now that was enough! Why was Itzel trying so hard to ruin my life? She killed two of my friends and kidnapped the other two. I made a promise that day that I will take my revenge on here, no matter what.
