Plot: Cheryl and Toni spend Valentine's day together

* Nearing the end of 8th Grade *

Toni had just returned from the dentist after her checkup. The girl jad learned that she would need to get braces soon, which she wasnt too proud of but she tried not to think too much on  it.

There was something more important on her mind.

She hopped in the car cheesing the entire way to school. Her mother couldnt help but tease her a bit but Toni didnt care. She couldnt wait to show Cheryl her new colors, and today was a special day at school anyways.

Valentines.

A day that Toni would have never thought she'd look forward to with such enthusiasm but here she is.

"Cheryl's gonna love it!" She said sitting back in her seat with Cheryl's present wrapped in a sweet red bow, complete with teddybear wrapping paper of course.

Grace nodded turning into the empty school lot. "I'm sure she will. You spent allot of time on choosing it." She would know. After all she was the one who drove Antionette around all day in search for the perfect gift to give her.

"Well yea, she had better like it." The girl muttered under her breath. Even though she didnt want to admit it she was rather nervous about sharing her gift with Cheryl. What if she came off too cheesy? Then she'd look like an idiot in front of her.

"She will I guarentee it. You saved all year to get that, I'm very proud of you Antoinette."

The car came to a gentle stop signaling that it was time for Toni to say her goodbyes from her mother. The teen got out looping her backpack around her shoulders. Just as they arranged Cheryl was out front waiting, luckily she was able to sneak out of the cafeteria for lunch.

The redhead head came to meet her friend, waving a sweet hello to Grace.

"Okay bye mom-"

"And where's my goodbye kiss?"

Grace teasingly smiled noticing her daughters I'll attempt at rushing their goodbye short. Toni huffed looking down at her sneakers.

"But mooooom, Cherbears here. It's embarrassing..." Her cheeks burned red just thinking about having to kiss her mother in front of Cheryl. They weren't little kids anymore, it was different now.

"And? Just one goodbye kiss?" Grace puckered her lips only making Toni's cheeks burn redder.

"Okay Okay fine but no more today..." She huffed as she climbed back into the passenger seat to give her mother a quick peck on the cheek. "There. Happy now?" She said going to stand next to Cheryl who had been patiently waiting for the exchange to end.

"I guess so." Grace concluded.

Toni went to close the door but before she could Grace spoke up again. "I'll feel much better when Cheryl gives me a goodbye kiss too though."

Toni looked over to Cheryl who's delayed reaction made her chuckle. Her cheeks went almost as red as her hair, her eyes wide as saucers.
