Summary- Liam loses control at a Lacrosse game. Luckily Theo is there to anchor him:) (established relationship)

The game had started off well. Liam had scored a couple of goals and their team was in the lead. But then it had all started going to shit. The other team scored goal after goal, and Liam, instead of playing properly was having to think about control. He was desperately trying to reign in his shift, and the taunts of the other team and some of his own teammates drifted past his ears.

He heard Mason on the bleachers trying to talk to him, to calm him, but it was no use. His eyes flashed golden and his fangs grew, while his claws ripped through the fabric of his Lacrosse gloves.

Liam huffed in anger. This wouldn't have even happened if Theo was here. His boyfriend had had to miss the game because of his shift at the animal clinic. But without his anchor anywhere near him, his control had slipped.

Someone slammed into him, throwing him to the ground. He lowered his head so the other guy didn't see his eyes and fangs.

"Get off your ass Dunbar!" Shouted coach. "You've got a game to win!"

The other team snickered at him and continued playing, scoring more goals. Liam looked up at the scores.
17:23 to the other team. They only had 20 minutes left of the game. They were going to lose. Liam hissed through his teeth as he tried to get a grip of himself. But the taunts and glares directed at him was not helping. Not to mention coach's frustrated yells.

"Liam" a sudden voice called. The voice he had been so desperate to hear.

His name rang out in his ears, clearer than every other noise on the field and bleachers, even though he was sure it had been whispered. He sat there a minute wondering if he was hearing things now.

"Liam I know you can hear me"

He shot to his feet, and looked around wildly trying to locate the owner of the voice. His gaze swept over the crowds and a confused looking Mason. But he couldn't find what he was looking for.

"You don't need to see me idiot just play the game" the voice insisted, with a slight tone of amusement.

But Liam kept searching. He could feel his wolf calming a little at the sound.

There was a huff of annoyance. "Fine. I'm under the bleachers to your left. The very end"

Liam swivelled around, squinting through the glare of the lights, trying to spot him. He faintly registered coach's yelled threats to bench him if he didn't start playing.

Finally, he saw him. Leaning against the support beam under the bleachers was Theo. His boyfriend and anchor, had a smile on his face as he watched Liam. He gave a small wave then gestured with his head at where the rest of team were still playing.

"Now calm down and go play. You've got this little wolf" said Theo softly.

Liam felt himself grinning, as his eyes returned to normal and his fangs and claws disappeared. He turned back to the game with a renewed sense of strength and energy. Theo was here. He was here to watch him play and Liam wasn't going to let him see his team lose.

Liam darted across the field like a cheetah. Sprinting, Dodging, swinging his stick and scoring goal after goal after goal. And with 10 seconds left of the game, he scored the last goal taking their score up to 26:25. The field swarmed with people as they stumbled and ran down the bleachers shouting congratulations to their team.

Liam pushed his way through the crowd trying to see the spot where Theo had been standing. The chimera pushed off his post and started walking towards him, with a smirk on his face.

"You're welcome" he said as he made his way to Liam.

Liam rolled his eyes, but smiled at his boyfriend. "You showed up" he said.

"Of course little wolf. Can't have you mauling people in public" he said, a mischievous glint in his eye.

"I wasn't going to maul anybody" Liam pouted.

"Sure" Theo scoffed. "And I came to see you play. I'm impressed"

"You've seen me play before"

"Only at practice. And to be honest I didn't really pay attention then" he grinned.

"Whatever" Liam muttered.

Theo moved in, planting a kiss on his boyfriend's lips. He broke off too soon and Liam chased him a little.

"Go have a shower little wolf. Then you can kiss me all you want" Theo quipped, with a smirk, making Liam huff in annoyance.

"Get a room" Someone called out from behind Liam.

He turned around to see Mason and Corey walking towards them hand in hand, smiling.

Liam rolled his eyes at his best friend.

"Hey great game dude" Said Mason, with a grin. "All thanks to Theo I suppose huh?"

Theo smiled proudly, and nodded just to get on the beta's nerves. It worked. Liam muttered another 'whatever' and stormed off in the direction of the changing rooms.

Theo could still smell the waves of happiness and accomplishment rolling off the other werewolf however and smiled softly.

"Well we'll be going then" Said Corey, looking adoringly at Mason who smiled back at him.

"Yup. I'm guessing you're giving Liam a ride then?"

"Oh, you have no idea" Theo said smirking slyly, as he raised a suggestive eyebrow.

Mason snorted a laugh and Corey scrunched up his face in mock disgust, as they waved a quick goodbye and walked off towards the car park.

Theo chuckled to himself and walked over to sit on the bench, watching the players still hug and pat each other on the backs, in excitement.

He let out a sigh of content as he settled down to wait for his boyfriend, pleased that he had come to this game after all.
