Summary- Another version of the elevator scene based on a request:) obviously it's gonna include what we all wanted to happen😁 Enjoy!
Theo tapped his foot impatiently, as the elevator slowly went up. His hearing zeroed-in on Liam's heartbeat, willing it to keep its rhythm for just a few more seconds....
Ding
The doors opened and Theo wasted no time jumping out and wrapping his arms around the beta, to pull him to safety. They pressed against the side of the elevator to avoid the onslaught of bullets fired at them.
They both let out a sigh of relief, as the doors finally slid shut, and Liam whipped around to face him.
"What are you doing here?" he asked with narrowed eyes.
Right, of course. No 'thanks for saving my life Theo'. Theo sighed and pulled the beanie off his head.
"I was just asking myself the same thing" he replied tightly.
He had no idea what he was doing here. He had been so close to leaving this damned hellhole of a town, and its death threats around every corner. That was before Scott had stopped him, with the one thing that could have made him turn his truck around. Liam was in danger.
He had rushed to the hospital, driving as fast as his truck would go, all the while trying to figure out why he kept risking his life for the beta. Liam wouldn't stop throwing himself into stupid and dangerous situations, and apparently Theo wouldn't stop following straight after him.
Liam pressed his ear against the metal.
"Are they still there?" Theo asked cautiously.
Liam gave a small nod, making him sigh in frustration.
"Look I'm not dying for you", he insisted, not believing a word of what just came out if his mouth. Wait what?
"I'm not dying for you either" Liam fired back without missing a beat.
Maybe it was the skip in Liam's heartbeat as he said that, or just the heat of the moment, but he suddenly found himself leaning impossibly closer to the beta. He knew what he wanted to do. With the possibility of death hanging over his head, he'd be damned if he missed this chance.
Liam's eyes widened a little, as he looked about to back away.
"Theo what are yo-"
Theo cut him off with his lips. He grabbed Liam's jaw with firm fingers, and pressed his lips harder into his, drawing a surprised squeak from the unsuspecting beta.
Liam's eyes fluttered shut for a split second, before he quickly registered what was happening. He placed a hand on the chimera's chest and quickly pushed him away. Theo pulled back and stared at him.
Before either of them could say anything, the doors to the elevator opened, throwing them into a surprisingly perfectly synced fight against the waiting hunters.
~ Time skip cuz we all know what happens next:) ~
Theo stared into the lifeless eyes gazing blankly up at him. He was just a kid. A kid that got in with the wrong crowd. A kid who was scared, and the adults around him, instead of helping and protecting him, had put a gun in his hands.
He didn't deserve this, but now it was too late.
Theo sighed tiredly, as he pulled himself shakily to his feet. The effects of taking pain for the first time hit him as he staggered backwards a little. Before he could fall, he felt a strong hand gripping his upper-arm to steady him. He glanced back at Liam, who had an unreadable expression on his face.
