Summary- 3 times Liam is an overprotective or jealous boyfriend and 1 time Theo is.

1.

Liam was on his usual morning jog. But this time he was looking for a certain runaway chimera in the process.

Theo had decided he needed some alone time and had gone for an early morning walk, leaving him only a text. He hadn't been worried of course. He knows his mate visits The Bridge sometimes and he understood that he needed some privacy.

Today was the same....until Scott had texted to warn him about hunters spotted in the area.

That brought him to present time, where he was currently searching for his mate, desperate to find him before any hunter does. He entered the preserve, following the trail of the chimera's scent and the pull of their mate bond.

Then, he felt it. A searing pain flared up inside his body, overtaking him for a split second. He stumbled a little, trying to regain his senses. Theo was hurt. His eyes flashed in anger, and his claws and fangs grew as he sprinted in the direction in which he had heard a shot ring out from.

He arrived at the clearing and what he saw only fuelled his fury. Theo was kneeling on the ground, a hand pressed to his side where Liam knew a bullet had grazed him. One hunter had been dealt with and was laying crumpled against a tree, unconscious. The hunter who was the cause of his mate's pain, was standing over him with a gun pointed at his head.

Liam saw red. He roared in absolute fury and lunged at the hunter, slashing his claws across the flesh of his cheek. The hunter screamed in pain and fell sideways, dropping the gun. In a flash, Liam was on him, hands curling into fists and landing blow after blow to the man's face.

He bared his teeth, and wrapped his fingers around the man's throat, rational thinking clouded by his anger. The man's face was turning purple and he was desperately clawing at Liam's steady hands, trying to get oxygen .

"L-Liam" A voice broke through his haze.

His hands paused, but didn't loosen still cutting off the hunter's air.

"Liam, I'm fine. Look it's healing" Theo said, a little more convincingly.

Liam turned his head to see Theo pushing himself off the ground and sitting up.

"Besides where are you gonna hide the body? because I don't have any shovels to hand" He quipped, with his ever-present sarcastic tone.

It worked. Liam shook his head, as his anger retreated and he let go of the man's neck. The hunter took in huge gulps of air, while pushing him off. He got to his feet and stumbled off.

Liam turned and rushed to Theo's side frantically checking over his wound, and siphoning pain. He grabbed Theo's face and stared into his ocean eyes.

"You are not going anyway without me again" He said determinedly.

The chimera smiled at Liam's overprotectiveness, and gave his boyfriend a sweet kiss on the lips, with a small nod.

"I didn't get your name"

"Theo" he smiled.

Liam sat across from his boyfriend, with narrowed eyes and a hand fisted under the table. He watched as the young waitress flashed a flirty smile and a subtle wink Theo's way.

Who the fuck did she think she was? This was his boyfriend....who was currently smiling politely up at her, discussing something on the menu, but she was clearly taking it the wrong way.
