Rider x Tsundere!Reader

You are a very easy girl to fluster, at least, that's what your friends say. You wouldn't call if being flustered, it's more like being caught off-guard. Those two aren't the same thing, right? Besides, there weren't that many things that set off your super instinct protection system. As you were strolling down the street, your phone started to vibrate in your pocket.

WEBMASTER

~ Rider has entered the chatroom

Rider: (Y/N), mind if we play some ranked battles?

~ (Y/N) has entered the chatroom

(Y/N): Sure! I don't see why not.

Rider: Great. I'll see you there.

(Y/N): See ya!

A light blush came on your face whenever Rider talked to you. It didn't matter if it was verbally or on the phone, he somehow manages to make that blush appear. It made you happy whenever Rider was around. He may have anger issues most - if not all - of the time, but he's a sweet person deep down. Rider's also a pretty strong squid, he can pick up one of the hardest weapons to use, a dynamo roller. Oh Rider, I wonder if you and I will be together one day...You sighed. Suddenly, a feeling crept its way into your brain. A familiar feeling. Your blush disappeared from your face and you quickly grew frustrated with yourself.

"Grr, seriously me? You have much better things to do than act gaga over Rider!" You lectured, "Honestly, why am I even thinking of him that way? It's not like he'll feel the same way."

Part of your heart broke when you said that. You didn't want to admit it but, you had genuine feelings for Rider. Whether he notices or not, you already know the answer to your long-awaited question. It will always be a no. Once you gained back your senses, you rushed over to the Deca Tower.

Timeskip...

Both you and Rider walked out of the Deca Tower, feeling exhausted and dehydrated. Ranked battles go one for only five minutes, but in higher ranked modes it seems to take hours. How could anyone possibly like them? You both decided to go to the cafe and relax there until further notice.

"Hey, what do you want?" Rider asked, "I'll pay for it, so don't worry."

"What? You are not-

"Can you just tell me what you want already?"

You glared at Rider for a second before giving in to his demand. You told him what you wanted and he walked over to the counter. Finally, you were left alone with having Rider's presence near you 24/7. Why was he so close to me during those matches? Does he...? You shook your head. No! Come on, (Y/N), we've been through this before already. We don't have a chance with him, got it? Just give it a rest already! Rider snapped his fingers in front of your face, catching your attention.

"Huh?" You looked up.

"Here's your ice tea," Rider said while giving you the beverage.

"Oh, thanks."

An awkward silence follows afterward, which makes you shift in your seat. You wanted to break this silence, but your confidence was down to a low C- at this point. But then, Rider moved closer to you.

"Um, what are you doing?" You asked.

He didn't respond, only leaned in closer.

"Rider, seriously, what are you doing?"

Rider grabbed your face and lifted it to meet his lime-green eyes. They just seemed so comforting, so alluring. You just wanted to stare into his eyes forever. Wait, what?! You jolted and started to move away from him. But Rider didn't let you go that easily, he pulled you closer to him. He leaned closer into you, his eyes set on your lips rather than your face. You started to blush a dark shade of (F/C) and your heart rate skyrocketed to 1,000 feet.

Rider's lips met your own, making your body jolt again. You couldn't help but give in to his kiss. He may not look the part, but he's a really good kisser. There were some whispers inside of the cafe, some in awe and others in a teasing manner. You only heard the teases, which made you super jump back to reality. You instantly push Rider away and wiped your lips, but your blush was still present.

"You idiot!" You shouted, "W-Why would you do that?"

Rider just laughed before looking at you with a playful look.

"You are just too cute, (Y/N)," Rider said with a smirk.

"Oh shut up!"

You crossed your arms and stared out the window. There was a couple outside, holding their hands and sharing a small kiss. Your heart ached when you saw them.

"It's not like I love you or anything..." You mumbled.
