Due to your rather short stature, a lot of inklings misunderstand your age. It always happens and you've gotten used to it. But it gets annoying after a while. Turf wars were especially annoying because someone always points out your height. Always. You walked into the Square, adorning your hoodie over your small frame, and make your way to the Deca Tower. The music blared in your ears, not too loudly though, as you walked over to Judd and Judd Jr.
"Meow (Here's your reward of 400G)," Judd said, lending you your reward.
"Mew (Stay fresh)!" Judd Jr said after.
"Thank you," You thanked them both.
After receiving your money for the day, you decided to try out Tower Control again. Your rank wasn't as high as the other modes, so you wanted to get in more points before leaving to go home. (If you do have a high rank in Tower Control just pretend you don't). You go inside the tower and enter the ranked mode.
"I hope no one points out my height again," You cringed, "I'll probably blow a gasket..."
"Hey, shorty," A voice called out.
And just like that, your happy mood from before vanished into thin air. Right when you asked for someone to not point out your height someone does. Fan-fricking-tastic. You snapped your body around, eyes twitched and your body shaking from anger, to see who this jerk is. A tall inkling boy stood before you, he had green-colored tentacles and dark skin. His eyes were a lime color, though they seemed to be lighter than that. You couldn't help but think the boy was attractive.
"You can't play in ranked if you're not 14," He says, "I suggest you go back home."
"And I suggest you leave me alone before I beat you up," You threatened.
He seemed taken aback by your threat. He looked a little agitated by it too.
"Careful what you say, little girl. It could kick right in the a-
"Yeah yeah, whatever, see you later tough guy."
"H-Hey! I wasn't finished talking!"
You had stopped listening to the boy immediately. We're going into a ranked battle moron, focus on your match, not someone else. You mumbled in your mind. You met up with three inklings that appear to be on your team and wait with them until it's time to go.

You and your teammates rose from your spawn point and waited for the signal to go. In your hand, you had your favorite weapon of all time. The Heavy Splatling (if you not a splatling main, just pretend). This was your pride and joy, your baby. It helped you in so many ways and it won't fail you now.
Ready? Go!
As soon as they let you free, you didn't hesitate to ink up a path to your favorite hiding spot. Usually, you like letting the enemy take the tower first, so you could knock them down and snatch the tower right from under them. Not the best strategy, but it's worked for you so far. What could go wrong? As you expected, your opponents went for the tower. But little did they know, you had them right where you wanted them.
"Ha! I knew you'd fall for it!" You shouted.
"Watch out!" One of them warned.
You splatted only two of the inklings making their way up to the tower. The third one had gone someplace else before you could hit them. One of your teammates, who was a charger, by the way, took advantage of your work and got onto the tower.
"Don't worry, I've got your back!" You said.
"Thanks..." Your teammate thanked you.
You and your teammates helped protect the charger, splatting the other three teammates of the opposite team. But something was wrong here. Where's the fourth teammate? You wondered as you got on top of the tower.
"Looking for someone?"
"Huh?"
You looked to the side and saw...!
SPLAT!
"Oh my!" Marina squeaked, "Rider splatted (Y/N) and her teammate with one swing!"
"Heh, as expected from a member of the S+ rank," Pearl chuckled.
S+ rank?! I didn't know that boy was an S+! As soon as you respawn, you realized something very bad. The opposite team already had you cornered!
"W-What the heck?" You stuttered.
You didn't know that your base had been invaded, now it's almost completely covered in yellow-green ink! Dang it, I'm not going to lose like this! You started covering the enemy ink with your own. You thought that if you could get your special, then you could take out whoever's on the tower. But when you attempted to go over the curve, there he was. That same inkling boy who called you shorty earlier. He smirked down at you like he accomplished some grand goal or something.
"Didn't I tell you to be careful with your words?" He smirked.
"Oh, you've got to be kidding me..." Your eye twitched again.
The whistle blew, which meant the match was over. Your team had lost and the yellow-green team had won. You were so enraged, you didn't realize you were crying.
"Hey, no need to cry over it," The boy said, feeling pity for you, "I'm sure you'll win your next match."
"Shut up," You muttered.
With one swipe from your arm, your tears were gone. But the sadness remained. Suddenly, the boy's hand reached down to you. You looked up at him, confused by the strange gesture.
"The name's Rider, what's yours?"
"(Y/N)."
"Well, you're interesting (Y/N), so let's be friends."
You looked at his hand again before shaking it. A sly smirk made its way onto your face and you raised an eyebrow at him.
"You make yourself seem tough in front of others, but you're a big softy aren't you?" You cooed.
That made him retract his hand immediately. His lime eyes glared at you as the same colored blush spread across his cheeks. The sight almost made you laugh.
"Aw, Rider's a big softy!"
"S-Shut up! I'm not a softy, damn it!" Rider yelled.
"I find that hard to believe."
His teammates seemed to agree to that as well.
"Why are you siding with her?!"
You giggled and grabbed your splatling.
"Anyway, it's nice meeting you Rider. Let's hang out sometime, okay?"
"Yeah sure, whatever..."
Short and sweet, I guess. But this is the best I can come up with for this as well. I'M STILL TRASH, I KNOW.
