After nearly fainting, you had a very long and interesting conversation, and much convincing that this alien wasn't here to blow you into oblivion, you became friends.

Bumblebee as you found out, was pretty childlike. He was loyal, protective and pretty sweet. Since Sam and Bumblebee were almost always together, you saw them regularly, when they weren't saving the world that is. He told you about some of the other Autobots, and unfortunately even a couple Decepticons. You were glad your introduction to them wasn't with them, because you probably would have been far less trusting of the Autobots. Life was a bit more peaceful. Just school and exams.

Right now you were laying in a field as you and Bumblebee stared up at the sky.

"That looks like a bird." you pointed to the cloud. He shook his head.

"It's a bird, it's a plane, it's superman!" you laughed at the monologue.

"Okay, I'll give you that one. "

You loved this, just hanging out with him. Who knew you'd become so close to the cute autobot. His gaze was still directed at the sky, and you took the opportunity to watch him. How could something so pure go through so much and still manage to be so kind and caring. You leaned over closer, reaching out and touching the side of his face plate.

His head shifted in your direction, and as your eyes locked, you couldn't get yourself to look away. Your fingers ran over the metal. It was cold, yet this moment, it provided nothing but warmth. Bumblebee's eyes closed, and you could hear the soft hum coming from his engines.

"Amazing."

It was hard to believe you'd ever really been scared of him. Looking back it was almost laughable. His eyes opened after a few short moments. He shifted his body, bringing both of his hands down on either side of your head. Your heart gave a little thump at the way he was now towering over you.

This position seemed rather intimate to you. Your cheeks flushed, and you had to force yourself to hold his gaze now, because the closer he leaned in, the more it felt like your heart would beat right out of your chest. He pressed his cheeks to yours cutely, and you grinned, wrapping your hands around his neck and hugging him as you laughed.

"Why the heck are you so cute Bee!!"

"What can I say, the ladies love me." The reply just made you laugh more.

After you and Bumblebee were done cuddling, it had started to get dark. He took you home, opening the car door as you stepped out. "I'm sorry we can't hang out this weekend Bee." you were going to your grandmother's house for the weekend, so you wouldn't see him until Monday.

"No sweat sugar. Have a nice trip."

"Thank you Bee. " just like that you were heading up the stairs to your door. You gave him one last wave, right before you stepped inside. As you closed the door, you leaned back, letting out a content sigh. You could hear his wheels pull off, and you giggled to yourself, doing a small dance.

"What boy has you all giddy?" you shrieked at your mother's voice.

"Mom!! Don't do that, not cool!" She just gave a smirk.

"I'm not the one standing at the door grinning like a love struck puppy. So you're gonna introduce me to your boyfriend at some point. I know that's why you've been taking off so quickly. "

You turned your head so she wouldn't see the obvious redness that was now covering your cheeks, all the way to the tips of your ears.

"He's not my boyfriend, we're just friends. " you muttered.

"Oh, what are you waiting for, it's obvious you like him. I know I'm a bit older but I'd love to be the flower girl at your wedding."

"MOM!!"

"Just kidding darling, I'd be the maid of honor. " you rolled your eyes, walking away.

"I want three grandkids!!!"

She was never gonna let this go now.

Why try.
