“You look about as bad as I feel,” Tay commented as I collapsed into the chair next to her behind the front desk and almost downed my cup of coffee.

“That bad, huh?” I asked as I finally turned to face my friend.

“Morning.”

“Morning. You don’t look bad per say, just like you haven’t slept for a week,” she told me.

“Feels like it. I can’t actually remember the last time I slept.”

“What’s keeping you up?”

“Dad invited me over to San D.”

“Ooh, anxiety?” She guessed.

“Through the roof. I can’t go back there Tay.”

“And I’m not saying you have to. Have you tried going up to the roof?” Tay, along with Drake, my Dad, and Steven was one of the few people who knew about what had happened and understood what going up to the roof meant to me and how it helped with my anxiety.

“I’ve pretty much moved up there. I’ve only come down to eat, to shower and to work.”

“Ouch. And that’s not doing anything?”

“No and I think Steven’s close to locking the door on me.”

“He wouldn’t do that to you Molly; he knows how important it is to you.”

“I know, but he’s caught a couple of guests alongside me and Drake sneaking up there over the last few weeks. Me, he can just about handle knowing my history, but other guests not so much, which I totally understand.”

“No totally, but Molly seriously you should not be here. Go home and try to get some sleep. I'll cover for you.”

“Oh no. I’m not letting you hold favors over me.”

“This isn’t a favor, nor is it a request. It’s not healthy Molly, and if it goes on any longer I’m taking you to a doctor.”

“Okay fine,” I grumbled as I picked up my empty mug to get a refill.

“That stays with me,” She told me as she turned to see to a customer who was waiting at the desk.

“Fine, I'll go tell Steven that I’m going home.”

“Okay.” She gave me a quick smile before turning her attention back to the customer.

“Oh and if you even think about going up to the roof right now, I'll knock you out so that you sleep for a week,” she called after me.

“It’s good to know you care Taylor.”

“Well don’t you look better,” Tay called as I walked through the front door the next day.

“Shut up Taylor.”

“How much sleep have you had?”

“Enough to be able to work,” I replied.

“Of course you have. Are you okay to manage here for a few minutes, I’ve gotta go for a coffee run.”

“Yeah, yeah I’m fine here. Go.”

“Thanks, I owe you one.” I nodded as I made my way to the front desk, dumping my bag under the desk as I couldn’t be bothered to run it upstairs to the staffroom. I logged on and was just getting on with some work when I saw a shadow fall over me.

“Welcome to the Plaza Hotel, how may I help you today?” I asked as I turned to see Drake leaning on the desk.

“Well aren’t you quite the little professional?”
