Lin walked into the huge double doors, tired from a day of yelling, arresting and endless paperwork. As soon as she set her keys on the key hook, she made her way up the unnecessarily huge stairs, regretting her decision to buy a mansion. The sound of her phone ringing took her out of thought. She glanced at her phone, not surprised to see who was calling, her best friend Kya.

"Hello Kya-."

"Lin, are you home?" Lin could hear the urgency in her voice. Suddenly she felt an uneasy feeling. Kya never called her sounding like this.

"Yes. Just got here. Do you need anything?" The earth bender carefully asked

"Lin.....today Tenzin told Y/N he-.......he invited her family over. From the north pole. That includes......." she stuttered. Lin could tell the water bender was feigning tears.

"Are you sure?!" Lin could feel herself getting angry with Tenzin. The nerve for him to invite her family, knowing they only come to see Korra.

"She refused to want any contact with them. Especially with, you know him. And Tenzin blew up, calling her ungrateful for her family. Saying that they wanted to spend time with her, which is unlikely. She practically ran out crying Lin." Kya explained

Lin had stopped her way to room by now, thinking of all the ways to kill the airbender. She had known y/n for a few years now, she grew to love the girl. Spirits who wouldn't, you were the life of everything. You and Lin had always been very close, you found her interesting. Attractive. You made the most when you were around her. She found herself enjoying your company, sad when you left.

"Did you hear me?" Kya questioned

"Sorry, what did you say?" Lin snapped out of it, slowly continuing her way to her room. Cursing the long hallways.

"I said, Y/n is at your place. I didn't know where else to take her, but she can't be on the island for the weekend. She fell asleep in your room, I lended her some old clothes you had, to get her out of those. So if you see her in your bed don't freak out." Kya stated

"Of course, you know she's welcome anytime Kya." Lin stopped so that she wasn't to loud to wake the girl.

"I'll be by tomorrow to drop off some clothes for her. Lin do you think you could...." kya paused, "stay with her tonight. I don't want her doing anything she might regret." Kya pleaded

Lin's heart dropped at the thought, "of course. I'll let you know if anything." Lin promised the water bender.

"Thank you Lin. Really." Kya sounded relieved. Relieved that you were safe.

"Anytime Kya, talk to you later." And with that she hung up.

Lin opened the door to the master bedroom, careful not to be to loud. Once fully in the room she looked at you, smiling at your sleeping form. You wore one of her black hoodies, and some grey sweat pants she had. Your hair was in a messy bun and she could see your eyes were puffy from crying. She frowned for a moment, then noticed how you were wrapped around her favourite pillow, which you made it known that it too was your favourite and whenever you slept over you get it all the time. She walked into her 'boujee,' as you described it, walk-in closet to change, bending the armour to her armour stand. Changing out of the sweaty clothes she was in. She scanned her glass encased jewelry that lined one of the walls, coming to her most prized necklace. A necklace you had hand crafted yourself and given it to her for her birthday. She smiled as she recalled the memory.....

"Watch your hands buddy. I can kick your ass." You spat as an officer walked you into the chiefs office.

"Well if it isn't my favourite Beifong. How's Rocky Jr. doing today?" You smiled as the officer was dismissed.
