Yulette was at home with her mother and her brother. Berle was about to leave and go trick-or-treating.
"D'accord, assurez-vous que vous êtes de retour au moins à 9h00, 9h15 au plus tard!" Amelie tells her son since he was about to exit their home. (TRANSLATION: Okay make sure your back by at least 9:00, 9:15 at the latest!)
"Ouais, je connais maman." Berle responses back as he walks out the door.(TRANSLATION: Yeah, I know Mom.)
"S'amuser!" The mother yells to Berle, as he slowly walks away from the door.(TRANSLATION: Have fun!)
Amelie shut the door behind her and walked into the coat room to look at her Halloween costume one last time.
She was dressed as Veronica Lodge from the Archie comics. It was either that or Saavik from Star Trek, but she knew that Yulette enjoyed the Archie comics a lot.
Amelie quickly re-centered the black wig that she was wearing which also had bangs. It was sort of a retro look but she liked it. Amelie always looked amazing in red.
"Maman! Pouvez-vous venir ici et m'aider?" Yulette yells from her room upstairs, she had no idea how her costume was supposed to be. (TRANSLATION: Mom! Can you come up here and help me?)
"À venir!" Amelie responds from the coat room and quickly rushes upstairs. (TRANSLATION: Coming!)
When her mother had made it upstairs and into her daughters room, she couldn't help but laugh.
Her daughter was wearing the costume completely wrong.
The white dress that was supposed to go on top was on the inside, therefore making Yulette look bulky. Also her hair was styled in a single braid with a bow.
