Dinner is Served! Jennie and Mina announced, practically throwing their hands in the air like they just solved world peace.

"Wow!!" we all exclaimed in unison, as if they'd just unveiled the world's greatest culinary masterpiece.

We took our places around the table. Lisa parked herself at the center, like she owned the place, with a smug grin on her face. To her left was Jennie, Zoe, and Rosé. On her right, it was me, Monique, and Mina. We all dove into the food like a pack of hungry wolves, but then Monique's phone rang, and the entire meal came to a halt. The phone screen lit up with "Sana" written in bold letters.

"Again?" I muttered under my breath, rolling my eyes dramatically.

"Well, answer it!" Mina smirked, her voice dripping with mischief. "Put it on speaker!" she added, making this whole thing feel like a live reality show.

Monique sighed, excused herself, and answered the call, holding the phone up for everyone to hear. We all pretended to be deep in thought... until the sweet words from Sana started.

"Sana habibti! My beautiful Sana!" Monique said with an exaggerated sigh, and I immediately shot her a look like I was about to explode. I looked around to see if anyone noticed, but of course, no one did-except Lisa, who was very amused and gave me an eyebrow wiggle that screamed trouble.

"I miss you, Monique unnie! I haven't seen you in a week! You don't love me anymore," Sana said, all dramatic and whiny.

I choked on my food, and everyone stopped to look at me. I just waved it off like it was nothing-definitely not anything to do with that conversation.

"I miss you too, Sana. You still owe me a home-cooked dinner," Monique said, playing it cool, but I saw that glint in her eye-oh, she's enjoying this too much.

"Yes, I know! Should we set a date then?" Sana said, all excited, like Monique was the one.

"Sure, just let me know!" Monique answered way too quickly, practically vibrating with excitement. And here I was, pouting and trying to finish my meal. Not gonna happen.

"Okay, got to go! Say hi to Zoe and Mina unnie for me!" Sana chirped before hanging up.

"Hi, Sana unnie! I miss you!" Zoe immediately interjected, followed by Mina with, "Hi Sana, see you soon!" They both waved dramatically at the phone.

"You heard them," Monique chuckled. "Bye, let me know when you get home, okay? Love you, bye!"

She hung up and sat back down, but by then, my appetite had vanished. Just great.

Rosé, ever the observant one, noticed my sudden lack of interest in eating and asked, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," I lied, forcing a smile. But seriously, my brain was busy screaming Why do you say 'love you' to her?
