Monique pranced down the stairs, singing at the top of her lungs.

You are my sunshine, my only sunshine... You make me happy when skies are gray... You'll never know dear, how much I love you... Please don't take my sunshine away!

She spun around, grinning like a loon.

Nugunga chimdae oleunjjog-eseo kkaeeonabnida. (Somebody woke up on the right side of the bed this morning.) Good morning! Jennie raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued.

"Hey, Jen! Good morning!" Monique beamed at her like a freshly baked muffin.

"What's going on?" Jennie asked, her eyes narrowing with suspicion.

"What do you mean, what's going on?" Monique replied, her tone playful. "I'm just... being my radiant, sunshine self."

"You're acting weird," Jennie pointed out. "You're singing, you're all happy, it's... strange."

"How strange can I get other than, you know, losing my memory?" Monique joked, giving Jennie a wink.

"That's not exactly what I meant..."

"It's fine, Jen! I'm just in a good mood, I guess... like a puppy with a new toy?" Monique shrugged. "Maybe I'm just... feeling delighted or something."

"See? Weird."

"Where is everyone, anyway?"

"Jisoo's at Snowdrop filming, Rosé's doing a photoshoot with your brother, Lisa's in the Yang building practicing dance, Mina went out for groceries but is on her way back, and Irene... well, she's probably in a deep coma of sleep somewhere. I don't know where IU is, though-you're her bestie, not me."

"Wow, Jen, you're so detailed," Monique said, raising an eyebrow. "Why are you here? Not busy?"

"Nah, free today," Jennie answered, munching on some snacks.

"Hmmm, okay!" Monique said, walking off. "I'm heading back to my room, to the veranda. Wanna join me?"

"Sure, let me grab some food first."

The two of them relaxed on the veranda, enjoying the view. Jennie stuffed her face, while Monique strummed her guitar, humming a little tune.

"So, how are things with IU?" Monique asked casually.

"Fine," Jennie shrugged.

"Do you love her?"

Monique looked at Jennie, a little too seriously. "I love my girlfriend."

Jennie stared for a moment. "There's something you need to know, unnie."

Monique's curiosity piqued. "What?"

"We... we did something bad," Jennie admitted, looking troubled.

Monique leaned forward. "What did you do?"

"I can't say it, but I want you to know... we regretted it. Especially Jisoo. We're really sorry. Like, genuinely sorry."

"I know, Jen. I know," Monique whispered, barely audible.

Jennie, wanting to change the subject, suggested, "Wanna sing something?"

"Wait for me, guys! I'm getting us more food!" Mina suddenly appeared with a burst of energy.

"Sing Solo-acoustic style," Monique grinned, holding out the guitar.

Jennie chuckled and started singing. "Wow, your voice is incredible," Monique commented as she strummed along.
