Monique**
So, instead of actually teaching dance class today, I just sent my students three dance videos and told them to study them and send me their demos by the end of the week. My "do not disturb" notes were totally pointless-especially when the BP crew is around.
And here I am, vlogging with Jennie, keeping my promise to the other girls.
Honestly, I have no clue what I'm supposed to do or say. I complained, dramatically.
"Relax, unnie. Just go with the flow," Lisa commented like she was some zen guru. I rolled my eyes so hard they almost got stuck.
"I can't relax. I don't even know how to act on this," I grumbled, still protesting like a toddler.
"Come here, hon. Just sit next to me," Jisoo said, looking at me like I was the cutest thing ever.
"Fine," I grunted and pouted like a five-year-old. Jisoo pinched my cheek in that annoying yet cute way, and Rosé was over there laughing at us like it was a sitcom.
I grabbed my guitar, sat back down next to my girlfriend, and pretended Jennie wasn't starting her video. I ignored her completely, strumming my guitar like a rockstar. Then Rosé started singing, and Jennie just kept doing her thing. She started talking in the video, then panned it to Jisoo, who went into full diva mode. Meanwhile, I was still strumming away, shaking my head in disapproval. Jennie then pointed the camera at me, and I gave her the most exaggerated smile and kept strumming.
After a few minutes, Jennie yelled, "Done!" Then she said something about editing the video and went straight to my room. Lisa followed her like a puppy.
I swear to God, if the two of you are getting freaky in my bed, I'm going to murder you both. I shouted.
Lisa and Jennie just cackled like hyenas while Jisoo smacked me on the head, telling me to stop saying things like that. Meanwhile, Rosé excused herself, saying she needed to FaceTime with her "mystery" boyfriend. So mysterious, Rosé...
I was starving. "What did you cook?" Jisoo asked, like we weren't in my kitchen, and she didn't know.
"Beef ramen. I remember last time you wanted one but I didn't have any beef," I said, trying to sound all chef-like.
We walked to the kitchen hand-in-hand, like the cute couple we are.
"I hope you like it," I said, quickly kissing her on the lips, making her turn as red as a tomato.
"Go sit down, I'll prepare it."
Jisoo plopped down at the table, holding her spoon and fork like a child, and I couldn't help but smile at her.
When I put the food in front of her, she immediately took a bite. "This beef ramen is heaven, Monique!" she said, clapping her hands like she had just discovered the meaning of life.
"Eat slowly, it's hot!" I warned her, worried she was about to burn her tongue off.
Jisoo nodded like she was a responsible adult, and my phone beeped. "Irene sent me a message," I said, glancing at Jisoo.
"What does she say?" Jisoo asked, leaning in with curiosity.
I showed her my phone, and she read the message aloud: "Hi Monique, you want to join us tomorrow night at the club with IU and Mina?"
She finished reading with the most neutral face, like she hadn't just read about my crush.
"Can I go with them?" I asked, hopeful and batting my eyes like a cartoon character.
Jisoo looked at me like she was analyzing me for a spy mission. "With Irene and your crush IU? Of course not," she said, crossing her arms like a boss.
I sighed like a deflated balloon.
"Fine, you can go, because I trust you. But I swear if-" I cut her off with a flurry of kisses on her cheek. "Thank you, honey!" I said dramatically, giving her a tight hug.
Jisoo just smiled and shook her head like she had to deal with a toddler.
"The girls want to go clubbing tomorrow night before we travel," Jisoo said deadpan, like it was no big deal.
"Are we going to the same club?" I asked, super excited.
"I don't think so. Are you sad?" Jisoo asked, raising an eyebrow like she was ready to comfort me.
"Just disappointed. I don't know," I answered, pouting harder than anyone has ever pouted in the history of pouting.
Jisoo rolled her eyes but didn't say anything, knowing that was just me being me.
"How can you enjoy fangirling over IU if I'm right here with you?" Jisoo joked. "Let's just go home early and enjoy each other's company instead," she added, and my mood instantly brightened at her suggestion.
"Can we play after eating? And can I borrow your sweatpants or shorts and a hoodie?" Jisoo asked, her voice filled with that sweet puppy-dog energy.
"Why don't you just bring your own clothes?" I teased.
"I like your clothes. I like your smell. That's why," she replied, blushing like a tomato.
"Go take a shower then. When you get back, let's play in the game room," I said, trying to hide my giddy smile as she turned to head to my room.
She gave me a quick peck on the lips. "Thanks, that's a lovely dinner," she said before disappearing into my room.
I couldn't help but smile as I watched her leave. We totally look like a married couple, I thought to myself.
"Unnie, you're smiling like a crazy person again," Lisa interrupted, snapping me out of my daydream. Jennie just shook her head, clearly used to Lisa's antics.
"Chaeng, stop FaceTiming your mystery boyfriend and eat your dinner first!" I shouted, making sure everyone in the house could hear me.
Rosé came running down the stairs. "Yay! Food!" she half-yelled, followed by Mina and the kids, all complaining about how noisy I was. I just laughed at them.
"Unnie, I uploaded the vlog to my YouTube channel. Check it out," Jennie commented, clearly proud of her work.
"Okay, I'll check it now." I quickly replied, then clicked on the link. "Wow, the vlog turned out great! But I'm way too awkward to watch myself," I commented, cringing at my own awkwardness.
"Unnie, out of curiosity, do you rap?" Lisa asked, her voice full of hope.
"Oh my god, don't tell me you want me to rap now," I groaned, shaking my head dramatically.
"I'm just merely asking," Lisa said, looking mischievously at me. "So? Do you rap?" she asked again, practically bouncing with excitement.
"I can dance and sing. Rapping? Big no. I don't know how, sorry to disappoint you. Byeeee!" I replied, chuckling and sending a dramatic wave goodbye.
"Why don't you try?" Rosé laughed, egging me on.
"Chaeng, why don't you try?" I teased her, knowing she'd be way too chicken to take the challenge. She just shook her head, still laughing uncontrollably.
"I swear to God, if you all push me to rap, I will resign immediately as the CEO, fly my butt back to the US, and you will never see me again. Bye, Mom and Dad, bye friends, bye SoKor!" I stated with an exaggerated flourish, and they all burst into laughter.
"Point taken, unnie!" Lisa said, grinning and shaking her head.
"Noted!" Rosé commented, giving me a peace sign and still laughing.
I just sat there, shaking my head but smiling because, honestly, what did I expect from my chaotic but lovable crew?
"Then no to rapping for Monique unnie, Jisoo will kill us if unnie suddenly flies back to the US just because of rapping," Jennie teased, and we all burst out laughing at her comment.
"Seriously!" I replied, still laughing so hard I could barely get the words out. "I swear, if Jisoo found out, she'd hunt me down for real."
