Chapter 11: we play Capture the Flag

Me and Percy walked hand in hand to the campfire where our cabins, Hecate, Hephaestus Aphrodite the Hunters of Artemis and Frank and Hazel met up to make our plan.

"Alright" I said "Hecate and Hazel guard the flag. Hephaestus and Aphrodite your on defense. Piper and Leo. Come with me and Percy. Hunters and Frank hide in trees and take shots. Percy Leo and piper and the Athena cabin is on offense to get the flag. And go!" I said as the conch horn blew signaling the start.

The four of us ran south and went around to the boundary up the side until we saw the flag. The Ares cabin was guarding the flag. Thankfully for Percy Chiron was watching us. Piper walked up to them took off her helmet and shook out her hair. "Drop you weapons. And walk away. You never saw us here." And they all did. Then Jason and Clarisse came out from the bushes with mud in their ears. I took on Clarisse while Percy took Jason. I took Clarisse down in a matter of minutes. Percy and Jason were still fighting. Jason was sweating buckets were Percy didn't even break one. He was using a combination of both Greek and Roman fighting skills. I looked over at Chiron who looked like he was on the verge of screaming. I let it go and I ran for the flag. I got it with ease I grabbed pipers hand and we ran. When ever we came upon someone we would stop and piper would tell them to walk away. We ran the flag back to our side were we saw Percy waiting for us. We had won! Percy kissed me an Chiron walked over. "The game is won!" He yelled then glared at Percy. "Why do you keep glaring at Percy?!" I yelled to Chiron making sure everyone could here. "Nothing child" he responded

"Obviously it is." I said " after you yelled at him today. What is wrong?!"

"Everything. Annabeth. Everything. I hate when this happens to children. Always so young. I knew it would happen but couldn't do anything about it." Chiron said with sadness filling his voice looking Percy in the eyes. Percy's eyes grew whose as in understand meant. "You knew that would or I mean will happen. And you didn't tell me?" Percy said "I couldn't I was told not to."

"By who" Percy asked "your father, Zeus all the gods. Plus I was watching when you had your meeting. Hestia took a liking to you didn't she. From a goddess. Doesn't happen everyday." Chiron said. What he was talking about I had no idea. But Percy knew. "I know right!" Percy said smiling "good. Now that that is settled everyone. Cabins. The seven will leave in the morning." Chiron said as I walked to Percy and grabbed his hand. "What happened on Olympus?" I asked "I'm not allowed to say until the time is right according to the gods. Sorry. I really want to tell you though." Percy said and we walked onto Festus and went to our rooms.
