"Crap" I heard hazel say. And she was wrong. It was far worse. I broke down into tears. Percy was gone. Gaea took over. At least not willingly like Luke had with Kronos.

"Ah. I like this body" Gaea said. Ok weird.

"It's strong only annoying part is this kids yapping. He needs to shut up. But he will fade adventually." Gaea said she them stopped and said in Percy's voice "kill her now" then she went back to her normal self. "We'll someone's touchy are we. Trying to get

your body back won't work."

I drew my dagger and approached followed by the others. "Why?" I asked. It was the only question I had for her. Was why she was Doing everything.

" we'll. miss Annabeth Minerva Chase daughter of Athena" she snarled the name as if it was poison. "My son Kronos didn't think big enough. We are pulling up the roots of Western Civilization. They have done nothing with the world we have created. They let mortals run things. Pollute it and so nothing. I say enslave mankind kill the mortals who don't obey. We gave them everything. The gods do nothing with the power they hold."

I stared at Gaea. Even though it was Gaea she still looked like Percy. It was probably the smartest thing and the longest thing I've ever heard him say.

I heard a scream from behind me. I whirled around. And saw we were missing one. Piper. "Guys weres piper?" I asked

"The prophecy. Jason and Frank. Go save piper. She is obviously in a cave." I said

My arm started to sear in hit pain. I screamed. "Ahh" Gaea cooed. "Silly Athena. Giving you the mark"

"It will destroy everything if you use it wrong. Tiss tiss"

That's wen I realized. The mark of Athena wasn't a gift or a curse. It was a warning. For me to do the right thing and if I don't I burns.

Gaea thrust out her hand and I was relieved to see it wasn't at me. I whirled around and I was also shocked to see it was at Leo. Leo stepped forward trance like. "Sammy. Or Leo. Which ever you prefer thank you for leading them to me in Rome."

To my surprise. Leo Bowed. I was so pissed. Gaea is messing with he wrong group of friends. Did she have power over Leo somehow? I needed answers. For a daughter of Athena's and not answers is like an ocean without sand.

"Pledge your allegiance to me again boy." Leo looked dazed and opened his mouth when Hazel ran over to him.

"Leo. Don't you dare" she was fuming

"She is evil. Your a good person do not fall for this, this, thing. You once asked me if you joined the army would I write to you. This is your army, your war. Don't let this devil sway you. Your strong."

Gaea shot her hand up again and Leo was falling to his knees but hazel caught him before he fell. "Leo" she said "look at me" he was still dazed so she step I front of him. "Don't do this. You will regret it." He still was looking at Gaea glassy eyed

Hazel then kissed Leo. For a while. When she let go Leo crumpled to the floor. Hazel caught him before his head did anything. Just as Jason and frank walked in looking battered and bruised holding in unconscious piper.

"What happened to Leo" frank asked

"We will explain later. Why about piper" I yelled not taking my eyes off of Gaea now.

"saved Piper to put it in short terms." Frank said running over.

"Alright" piper said "parts of the prophecy has come true. Mark of Athena. Gaeas patron, daughter of death, Now it's Hestia's Champion." I didn't even notice she woke up. I let it go.

"What does it matter." I said "we need the gods to help us"

"Very good Annabeth. You finally realize something." Gaea said trying to piss me off.

Every once and a while Percy's face would cringe. Like Percy was fighting her. For a second it look like he was back then BAM!! He wasn't. There was a huge flash of light from behind us. I heard Hazel gasp. "They're here"
