CHAPTER 2 - THE 2 CHANGES

Akaashi's POV

My father hasn't given me any explanation of what was happening. Why is Tetsu dismissed but I'm not? I was supposed to be the first one out since I am not his heir after all. Did he just forgot that he invited me to this meeting?

"Did you follow that Keiji?" My father suddenly turned to me. I immediately turned my surprised face on him.

"I-I didn't know what you guys are talking about.." I said in a low voice. My father laughed at me.

"You're here to listen." He said, I know he's mad but didn't want to show that in front of guests. Sugarcoating I guess. "We have decided to set you up." He continued.

Kuroo's POV

I can't hide my smile any longer, I ran on the hallways up to me and Kenma's room. He was surprised seeing me shut the door loudly.

"Y-You scared me." Kenma said, still not breaking the straight innocent face he has.

"Sorry, kitten. I was just got all worked up!" I couldn't hide it anymore, I have to tell him.

"Why?"

"I'm not going to be my father's heir anymore. There's this fellows who came by, they're from a different mafia gang. They made an offer to collaborate, their sons are alphas!"

"But, shouldn't there be only one heir?"

"Silly you, of course there can only be one heir. Whoever impresses the omega in Keiji, gets to be the heir."

Kenma looked at me directly. "How did your father agreed to this?"

"Both parties decided to pay him a good amount of money to let them offer for the collaboration." I explained. He started to form a disgusted look in his face. "What's wrong, kitten?"

"Don't you get it? He dismissed you, the real heir, for other family's alpha and for that your brother is gonna be used."

That hit me. I suddenly realized it now. Our father is so addicted to his job that if only he wasn't growing old, he'll probably never let go of it.

"Don't worry kitten, think of the bright side. Keiji finally gets to be mated." I tried to lift the mood.

"Then are they going to force one of those alphas to him if ever none of them impresses him?" Kenma returned his gaze on his phone, continuing his game. Kenma and Keiji weren't that close, but ever since the day Keiji helped him escape a wild alpha, he grew fond of him.

"I'm here, my cute little kitty. Being a beta can't stop me from protecting Keiji, after all, he's my only family who understands my situation."

Akaashi's POV

"Marry one of those alphas?" I asked again. I don't want them to repeat their selves, but I am still completely dumbfounded and stunned at the same time.

I don't wanna be a part of this job, my plans for the future are already settled. Besides, I'd rather be with a female alpha, I'm a guy though.

I wanted to say those words to my father, but going against him is bigger trouble.

"Yes, tomorrow they will be here to meet you. And in a few weeks, they will get to stay here until you decide on which one of them to marry." My father said as he dismissed the meeting. My father's guards escorted the guests back to their cars. I haven't left the chair. I have so many questions.

"Dad, may I have a word with you?" I asked. I was trembling as I get near him.

"I have been smelling your stress pheromones since this morning. Are you going into heat?" Damn it, he changes the topic too well.

"No." I simply answered. "What if I wasn't impressed by any of their alphas?" I bit my lip after realizing what I said.

"I'm not forcing you. I'll put Tetsurou instead. I don't really hold a plan for you, it was a sudden offer. If I could, I would shove their offer away, but they both look too serious about it." He left the office after his words were spoken.

I sighed. Another sigh for today. Today is just hella crazy.

I walk up to my room to see Eita sitting on my bed with Mirai. I rolled my eyes on them.

"Not trying to be rude, but why are you guys here?" I asked.

"Sorry, Mirai said she wanted to see you but you were in a meeting. I told her she can wait for you here." Eita explained. When it's Mirai, I'll lose it all. She's just plain adorable and helps me relieve my stress.

I sat on my bed, facing Mirai while I try and braid her long soft brown hair.

"You are so fond of Mirai, did it already crossed your mind having pups of your own?" Eita opened up. Sometimes the topic he speaks are so random, I find it embarrassing to even keep up.

"It did. Not that I was craving for it. I just like to imagine myself with my own pups." I smiled while answering. Still not looking away from trying to braid Mirai's hair.

"Aren't you getting bored? You've been in your room for 3 days straight, only going out to eat."

"I was being careful... I've been stressing a lot lately, it must be because I'll be going in heat again."

Eita slapped the back of my head, I turned to face him with a growl.

"Easy now. When the fuck did you started to care about your heats? Your father is so protective of you, even Iwaizumi carries around extra supressants just in case." Eita laughed.

He's right. My father may hate me for being an omega, but he doesn't want me ruining it more, so I guess I am not free as long as Tetsu takes over the job.

"You forgot to tell me what you and your dad talked about." Eita smirked at me. He's always like this whenever I get called to my father's office.

"Nothing much, just setting me up with 2 other alphas." I said with a sigh.

Eita was stunned. I was the same moments ago, now I just felt like I lost hold of the world.
