It was the next day and we all gathered in the throne room. The queen had formed some sort of plan to deal with the demons. It was simple, a little to simple if you asked me. We would put a deep hole in the ground so that when the demons run over it they will fall in and get stuck. We will fill up the bottom with tar so that they won't jump back out. Once the others get stuck or run off we kill them from a distance usi'g spears and arrows. That's the plan that the queen came up with after dealing with this problem for almost a year.

To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Why did it take so long to get this plan started? It's so simple! A baby could think of this! No way that these people we this simple minded! They are warriors! They must be really desperate to go as far as this!

Day in day out people worked on the huge pit. They worked till the sun started to set and got back to work the next morning. The job exhausted the poor men and women.

Everything was done. The tar had been thrown into the hole and the warriors were ready to attack when order was given. It was now or never and it all depended on how stupid these demons were. Let's hope they fall for it.

It was past midnight. Nothing had happened. I had called it a night and walked back towards my tree house. Where were the fuckers? They show up every night, why not this time? Something was very off and I needed to figure out what it was. The whole walk back I felt like I was being watched. Like hundreds of eyes laid on me as I made my way over the many bridges. I still wasn't used to the wonderful place. It was all so pretty, as if it came from a fairytale. But I couldn't enjoy it this time, not with the immense paranoia I felt.

I reached my door, quickly slipping inside and releasing a breath I didn't know I was holding. The sun would rise in a few hours and with the silence the absent demons brought it would be easy to fall asleep till then.

I was horribly wrong.
The screams of the demons howled through the night air as they ran around. Apparently there were so many of them that the pit had been filled by their body's and now the remaining ones were running around screaming and clearly angry. At least they fell for the trap, that's one positive thing.

I held my pillow against my ears as I waited for the sun to rise.

I walked into the throne room with huge, dark eyebags. Even though you could only see one. I had replaced the black bandages on my face with a simple eyepatch that had been given to me. The kind old man that lived near the back off the village had found it laying around in his home. Said it used to belong to a good friend off his. Sadly that person had passed away a long time ago but he still wanted me to have it. I was quit grateful, it sat way more comfortably than the old and worn bandages. It also was a bit more stylish and went better with my outfit.

We had decided that emptying the bit would be the best option, we didn't have time or resources to dig a new one. So with all the strongest soldiers we ventured down to get all the bodies. It seemed that most had died due to the weight that pressed onto them or had drowned in the tar. But those at the very top were still alive, just stuck between the bodies of their comrades.

The pit was as empty as it could get when we threw new tar into it. The bodies were burning up outside of the camp where they wouldn't be bothering us. If this keeps going for a few nights we should catch them all and we'll be freed of their threat that held us down.

Just like many nights I sneeked out to the far end to release my own demons for a few hours. Since two off them were to big to just let go in my house. My wyvern had grown an insane amount and was almost to big to release. I had to climb to the top of the trees to set him free into the air, that way he stayed out of sight and had the ability to move around. I was still hiding all their stuff and gear inside my little cabin, including rivers saddle. Cora flew around for a bit before coming back to me and landing on my shoulder. I wondered how I ever lived happily without these idiots. They were my friends and I wouldn't ever want to live without them.
