We where back on our way. As kiri had said we reached a big forest pretty quickly. It had huge trees with big leaves. There was a lot of green and making our way through the plants was hard.
Letting loose of my three demons I noticed how my wyvern mix seemed to be bigger then before. He never grew this fast.
Thinking about what could be the cause of this sudden change I failed to see the massive abyss in front of me. As I went to take a step a hand yanked me back. I was about to scream at bakugo for why he would do such a thing when I saw the darkness in front of my feet. I couldn't even see the bodem. Watch where you walk idiot! He sneered. I could only nod as he let go of my shirt. Looking for some sort of support I laid my hand on the side of my wolf. His soft fur brought comfort as I came back down from my tiny adrenaline rush. It would have hurt falling from such a height. If I wasn't dead before I could reach the ground that is.
It became late and we could no longer se the path like thing we were walking on. So we decided to put up camp and sleep. I sent Cora to hunt something down for us while my wolf hunted something for themselves. Since he was the picky eater it would be best to let him choose the meal.
Man, it's hot. I complained for the thousands time. But where so close (y/N)! If we just keep walking for a little while longer we can get there before noon. And that's when it becomes really hot. I nodded. I know but still. Just shut up! The pore you complain the longer it'll take to get there. Bakugo said from up front. You're one to talk. You a guy, you can take you shirt of and no one will be bothered. I can't do such a thing. I wouldn't mind. The blond grumbled, but it went to deaf ears as I complained some more.
Ugh, are we there yet? It had been another hour of walking through this hot and thick forest. Yup! It's just behind these trees. They were grown on purpose to make some sort of cover and barrier. But if jou know where to look you'll find the entrance. as kiri said that I got some life in me. I quickly fused my demons back and put on my gloves. Once I was done bakugo pulled a single brang and a whole gate opened. Wow! That's so cool! Must have took ages to make something like that! No idea, it was already there when I was born. I walked through the opening and was amazed at the sight. There where tree houses everywhere. Hey bakugo, didn't you say you lived in tents? We did. Was all he said. The houses where connected by bridges and platforms. How long where you away from home? About a year maybe two. So they built all this in such a small time? That's amazing. Yeah but why did they built it? And how do we get up there? Kiri asked. No idea, but whatever the reason was, it must be serious for us to scurry into the trees.
We walked under the bridges that were high in the air. There must be a way up right? And where the hell is everybody? It's seems so abandoned. Kiri stated the obvious. Impossible! Bakugou said. My people lived here already even before the great War and not once did they move places. It's too perfect. It's protected, close to the hot springs and hunting grounds. And not to far away from the fields. Plus if they moved they would have taken the wood that was used to build all this. We don't really like killing the forest for our own benefit. I nodded in agreement. Yeah, let's keep searching.
Eventually we found a barely noticeable route from branch to branch that we could use to climb up. When we set foot on the bridge it moved. It was hard to keep balance on as kiri jumped down on it. Wow! It moves that's so cool. Imagine all the fun stuff you could do on it. His eyes held starts as his excitement got the best of him. He began bouncing up and down as his movement we't through the bridge like waves. Meanwhile I was struggling to stay standing. As I was about to fall over a hand grabbed my shoulder. Oops, sorry! I didn't notice your struggling. It's okay kirishima, just don't do that again. I smiled as I looked around. We are so high! I can finally see the whole thing. There are some many houses! The population must be quite big. Bakugou nodded. It is but if you ask me it seems like there aren't as many houses as there where tents. Do you think something happened? No idea bro. But if it did we should find out what caused it.
A new chapter! It's short but I'm in France right now and don't have much time to write. I want to thank you all for the 300 reads! I'm definitely going to finish the story.
