Chapter Six

It has been 2 days since I saw those two. I had to make a detour so I could go hunting. Because of this I was a day behind on schedule. My demons were completely healed and fed. I was satisfied and my bag of food was still filled. The only negative thing was I needed to be on constant alert. Those boys knew what I was and that kept me awake at night.

I was just a day away from fishers village

I stumbled upon a tiny forest. Maybe I can level up here? I thought to myself. As I walked in the forest I summoned my demons. They were both happy to be allowed back out. I had been a little protective of them since the accident so this was for them the best that has happened in hours. They both went there own way and I went mine.

It has been an hour. I had walked around looking for some lower demons and I had managed to go up to level 25 I had been having these types of stops all over the way here and only went up 4 levels. I was kinda disappointed in myself. I whistled and waited for a while. When both my demons were back I shecked there statuses. My wolf went up with 2 levels and my grifowl with one. This doesn't change the level occupation though. There occupation levels are 7 and 4, but there skill level are 10 and 6. The brown wolf demon had something in his mouth. Apparently he went hunting. He was holding a dead rabbit. I cut of a leg from the dead animal and fed it to my grifowl. The wolf ate the rest. I jumped on my wolf and we started or way through the forest again.

I stood at the closed gate of fishers village, cursing myself. Why? Because I decided to take a break and now it was past curfew. The gates would open again tomorrow morning. While cursing myself out a little more I set up camp. I made a fire, cooked some meat and went to bed.

I woke up to the sound of footsteps. When I looked around I didn't see a thing. The fire had died down so the only light was the moon. Even though I couldn't see them I could hear them, they were coming closer. I silently grabbed my sword and got up. My eyes had adjusted to the dark and I could see two figures. The were walking my way. Which meant they had seen me to. I quietly called out to them. Who are you I asked, keeping my sword in front of me. Calm down we just came to get food in the village. A grumpy voice called. I lowered my sword but kept it close just in case. I went back to my camp and re-lit my fire. Once it did I fed it some branches. The fire gave off a little bit of light so I could see who I was talking to. My eyes met two pair of red ones. I jumped back up and held my sword back up. You! I said in a cold voice. You! Both the males said in a surprised tone. We just stared at each other for a while before the red head broke the silence. Sooo, how have you been? He asked. Fine. I said. It was silent again. I went to sit down still glaring at the two. Before I said. What do you want? They looked at me as if I asked the obvious. Which I kinda did. We want to get in the village dumbass. The blonde said with a scowl. Alright, but you won't get in till tomorrow morning. I said calmly. We know that, idiot. The blonde spoke again. Out of the blue I asked. What were you doing with my demon back then? They looked at me before the red head answered. We found it unconscious, when we were deciding what to do with it you came out of nowhere and attacked us. He finished. You thought for a while before saying. I'm sorry I had lost her during hunting the day before and was worried sick. When I saw you I just assumed the worst. I sincerely apologize for my behavior. They looked at me in shock like they didn't see that coming. It's alright the redhead said. It can happen to the best. I get how you must have felt. I was grateful that he was so understanding. I told him to sit down and so he did. The blonde however dicided to stay were he was. Alright, my turn to ask questions. The redhead said. I looked up at him and tilted my head. What are you? With this question I almost choked on my spit. I looked up at him. Well I thought that would be quite obvious. I am a summoner. I capture, tame, bevriend demons. He looked at me in awe. So they aren't just a fairy-tale? They really exist? Yup. I said. That's awesome. Thanks. I said while rubbing the back of your neck. So, I am guessing you are from sunset village right? He asked. Indeed, I said. What about you? I am fro... He got cut of by the blonde saying. That's none of your business. Okay? I said hesitant. So you guys need food right? I asked while grabbing my backpack. Yea do you have some I'm really hungry, and were no good at hunting. He said in a sad voice. Yeah give me a minute. I said after looking through my bag I found some leftover deer but it wasn't much. Here you said throwing the bag at him. Aww thanks this is great. He said. Yea but not a lot. I said while taking my glove off. The two boys looked at you in confusion. What do you think your doing idiot. The blonde said. Well, I am sending my demon to hunt. I answered sternly. My symbol started glowing when my demon appeared. Alright would you mind getting us some food. I asked. The demon looked at me then at the boys and went her way. I focused back on the boys and said this shouldn't take to long. And i was right because not even 10 minutes later a rabbit was dropped at my feet and i felt a weight press on my shoulder. The redhead looked at the demon then the meat and back at the demon. So what's her name, it's a she right? Her name i asked. No idea haven't thought about it. I'm no good at names. Ohhh, I know, what about cora! Cora? I asked. Yeah you know how there is coral in the ocean and the ocean is blue like her eyes. Hmmm Cora, i said to myself. I grabbed the demon and held it in front of me. Cora, what do you think? I asked. She let out a happy screech and looked up at me. Then it's decided, from now on your name is Cora! I put down the demon, who curled up in my lap. You looked back over to the boy who was now backing the meat of the deer and rabbit almost drooling. So why are you guys traveling? I asked. Hmm, oh, we wanne be the strongest. He said with a big grin on his face.

After that you talked the night away before  sleeping a few more hours.
