Learning About Myself

I woke up to Michael gently shaking my shoulders. "It's time to wake up sleepy head! You're coming to school with me today."

Last night, after he had calmed me down enough to stop my crying, he laid me down in his bed. He pulled the covers over me and brushed his hands softly over my hair.

I had fallen asleep in his bed. He said he would be fine sleeping on the floor, which I might've opposed to if I hadn't been so tired. Not long after I lay on his bed did fatigue sweep over me, the last thing I remembered was watching Michael close his eyes drifting off to sleep as well.

I got up and went to get washed up. After I was clean I dried off and went to pick clothing to wear. I chose one of the dresses given to me. It was an ivory color and flowed around me. It just reached the lower half of my thigh but was made to reach just above my knee with lace sewn at the bottom. I let my hair flow as I usually did and went out to see Michael. He was sitting on his bed looking at his stuff, making sure he wasn't forgetting anything.

"Ready to go?" He asked after turning around to face my direction.

"Yes, shall we get going?" I asked with excitement. He smiled and nodded. He picked up his pack and we headed out the door. On the way to his class, many beautiful young girls turned to watch him walk by. A girl with long blonde hair and green eyes made her way over to us, calling his name from across the buildings.

"Hey Michael!" She said smiling at him while putting her arm around his neck. Wait, were they together? I felt a pain in me but ignored it and smiled at them. Michael, unlike this woman, did not look so happy to see her.

"Hi Tiffany." he said flatly. He pulled away from her embrace and looked rather annoyed by her, but tried to not make it evident. I coughed silently, unsure of what to do in this uncomfortable situation. Tiffany looked at me with a disgusted look on her face.

"Who are you? It doesn't matter, just do me a favor and don't stand around and eavesdrop in any of my conversations again." She quickly turned back around and smiled widely at Michael. Michael moved away from her and instead came to me.

"What the hell was that for Tiffany?" he barked.

"What, she was poking her nose where it doesn't belong!" she pouted and tried to pull him back towards her, but he broke away.

"Of course you'd say something like that! That is very like you to say! Can you please just stop bothering everybody you come across!" he said rudely. I could tell by the look in his eyes he regretted the words as they escaped. His frustration had taken control in the moment, but he also didn't apologize. We began to walk away but Tiffany kept shouting at us.

"You can't just walk away from me! I wasn't done!" her voice screeched.

"I will not argue with you again, Tiffany. You're just another ignorant person, and all you will do is simply drag me down to your level. And from there, you will beat me from pure experience."

She stood there shocked. Michael took this as a chance to grab my hand and take me away from this horrendous human.

I know I should probably have been more attentive in the argument, since it was over me, but all I could think was that Michael had just said hell.

When we got to his first class, I lingered outside by the doorway.

"Is something wrong?" He asked, his eyes looking at me full of concern.

"Uh, yes, I have to use the bathroom." I said under my breath, hoping nobody would hear me as they walked by. A wide grin spread across his face as he pointed down the hall.
