When I woke up the next morning, Michael was already changed into new clothes and washed. He wore a red beanie with a gray t-shirt and black jeans. He was on his phone and had not yet noticed me. I coughed to grab his attention, and he instantly looked up.
"Good morning angel." He said, turning his attention to me. I smiled a little. Did he know?
"Good morning, babe." I had said with a wink. I had learned this from the many films he put on the television. I also enjoyed watching reruns of a television series called Full House, in which they called someone attractive babe. In all honesty, my man was definitely a major babe.
He gave me a confused smile and I laughed at his expression. He clearly had not expected those words to come out of my mouth.
"What is the plan for today?" I asked curiously.
"Well, you have been invited to attend a breakfast surrounded by your closest friends in the apartment upstairs. You can get washed up and when you are ready I would love to escort you."
I nodded and went to go get washed. I put on a pair of the leggings and a light pink shirt with my white converse. I brushed my hair and teeth and when I was ready I walked out.
"Is that all you are going to wear," he asked. "It's quite cold outside."
I shrugged my shoulders. "I did not bring a jacket with me."
He got up from the sofa and began rummaging through his drawers. "You can borrow this." He said, handing me a dark blue hoodie.
"Let me guess, you want to see me in your clothes?" I asked, pulling the hoodie over my body. It was soft and warm and smelled like the one I love. It was perfect.
He placed a hand in the pockets of his jeans and gave me a lopsided smile. "You do look great in my clothes, you should wear it more often."
I smiled and felt me face heat up. I grabbed a nearby pillow and threw it at him. "Can we go now?" I asked.
"As you wish." He opened the window and climbed out. I gave him a confused look and he gestured for me to follow.
"I'll explain at Zach's place." He promised. I let out a sigh but followed. We went up the few stairs that led us to the third floor. Michael knocked on the window and we were shortly greeted by Zach's lit up face.
"C'mon in, guys." He offered sweetly. Michael and I walked in to an almost empty room with only basic furniture. We walked until we found an already made breakfast spread across the table near his kitchen.
"Did you make all of this?" I asked in astonishment.
Both Michael and Zach burst out laughing. I'll take that as a no.
"No, I just went down to McDonald's and got some of their breakfast. I can't cook to save my life." He admitted.
Michael laughed as he said "It's more like a hazard for his life to eat something he's cooked."
I nodded, understanding. Michael pulled back my seat and I sat down and he sat beside me.
"So have you told her yet?" Zach asked, looking directly at Michael.
I turned so I could face him. "Told me what?" I asked with furrowed brows.
Michael gave Zach a glare but answered my question. "I was thinking maybe we should live here with Zach for a while. You know, until I can find a place of my own."
I considered this. "Why is it not Alex leaving? Why us?"
I heard Zach begin to speak, and turned my attention to him. "Alex won't move out. It's technically his property."
