~~~Years Later~~~
We had been married for six years now, and had our two kids, Aaron and Sarah.
Aaron, the firstborn. He was so full of life, yet so careful with everything he did. He was always watching over Sarah, making sure nothing ever hurt her. He was eight now, and he was always doing stuff with Michael. Whether that be piano lessons or soccer games, those two were inseparable.
Aaron loved spending time making crafts rather than watching television, it seemed he was always thinking up new things he and Sarah could make together.
Then their was my Sarah. She truly had the voice of an angel, as every time she spoke it sounded as though she were singing. Her voice had a tone to it that captured your attention, and it made her singing incredible. Shockingly, she wasn't very girly.
She loved playing soccer with Aaron, and hated more than anything playing with makeup with the other girls. Her favorite color was blue, she said. She said it reminded her of the sky.
She was six, but already loved to read. I would come home and find her on the floor of her room, with her legs on the wall and her back against the floor, a book in hand as the rest were sprawled around her on the floor.
Today was one of those days where Aaron had wanted to do something else. So Aaron, Sarah and I filled up the balloons outside in the backyard and hung them up on the canvas.
"Kids, come here," I said. "You need your smocks if you're going to do this."
"Okay Mommy! " I heard Aaron scream as he and Sarah ran towards me. I put a smock on each and gave them each ten darts.
We all ran over to the paint balloons and fired away. Not long after were we all covered in paint, and did I hear my husband's voice.
"Where are my kids?" he asked, running out to see them.
They ran out to him, covered in paint, but he didn't care. He picked them both up and kissed them. The kids giggled like crazy and hugged their dad back, while I stood back and watched them.
He set them down and looked at me, with that never changing, beautiful smile of his.
"And there's my girl." He ran towards me and picked me up, my legs on either side of him. I wrapped my arms around him and kissed his head.
"I missed you," I said to him. He hugged me tighter around my waist.
"I love you, Michael " I said, kissing his head.
"I love you too, Elera" he whispered onto my neck. He placed a few kisses there, and I giggled. "Always."
