Last night, I had a dream. Or rather, a nightmare.

****
In my dream, I was inside a huge house. Everything inside was white, the furniture, the walls. Everything. It was in the future, I supposed. I was sitting inside the house and looking outside the window, where I saw two small children running around, being chased around by a man. I looked closer and I saw that the man was Michael.

Michael looked older, he had a little bit of stuble and had barely noticeable wrinkles wear his beautiful smile leaves them on his cheeks. I watched as the little girl fell, one that looked incredibly much like myself. The little boy, who looked a few years older than her, and Michael both ran to her, and Michael picked her up to sit her down to see if she was okay. The little boy stood behind him and I heard him scream.

I watched him in confusion and I stood up. I moved closer to the window, not really sure what was causing him to scream so much. He moved further away from Michael and the girl, he began pounding on something, but I could not see anything blocking his way. Michael turned when he heard the boy scream and also began pounding on what seemed like an invisible dome, trapping them all inside. Michael eyes met mine and he began screaming.

"Elera! Watch out!" I heard him scream, but it was too late.

I was engulfed by water, everywhere. It was wild, in a matter of four seconds, the entire room was filled up to the top with freezing cold water. My body tensed and goosebumps formed all across my body. I remember screaming out Michael's name, but my screams were blocked out by the water. Then, I heard a voice. Crystal clear, booming through the water so I could hear.

"Elera, what have you done?" It asked.

I looked up and said nothing.

"Elera, you have a mission to complete. If you are incapable of doing so, you will loose everything you have come to love."

"Like what?" I asked. It was then I realized I could speak normally, not at all affected by the water.

"You shall loose your husband, Michael. Your beloved son, Aaron, your mountain of strength. Let's not forget your precious daughter, Sarah, your little princess."

Sarah and Aaron. My children. And Michael was the father, my husband.

"You musn't take them away from me, they are my family." I claimed.

"You must do what you have been sent here to do, only then can you have him back. If you fail to do this, you will loose him. Forever."

I turned one last time. I met his eyes, they were filled with tears. He held our beautiful children, one in each arm. Michael opened his mouth, but I still could not hear him. I could, however, read his lips as he mouthed "I love you."

I looked at him and smiled, a genuine smile. If I wanted him, I had to let him go.

"I am sorry, babe."

I suddenly was dropped, all the water around me disappearing. With only seconds to spare before hitting the floor, I awoke.

I woke up from my dream in a frenzy. I had tears stained across my face and was out of breath. I had to get away from Michael, fast.

That is why I had left him. Why I moved in with Grace instead.

That dream is why I had ended things with Michael. For I recognized the voice in my dream, I had only heard it once before this straight forward, but I could never forget the voice of the one who had created me. Nor could I disobey him.

I no longer had Michael, not until I had done my job.
